Does the lack of replies mean that no-one has had a good experience with a landscaper in Sydney ? Can you ask anyone in your neighbourhood who has recently had driveway work done? What about your builder, can you ask them?
Gook luck, hope you find someone. Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 4May 09, 2008 3:59 pm Sorry rikster! We are not up to that part yet either! Still 6 months away at least After 4 years - we're in! Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 6May 09, 2008 5:12 pm I think driveways are done at a cost of about $80/m2 - so it would depend on your width as well. After 4 years - we're in! Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 7May 10, 2008 10:31 pm One of my neighbour is a builder guy. He does driveways and walls. His house landscape looks good. Send me a private message if you want me to pass your info to him.

Which suburb are you building in? Our landscaper is quite good and I would certainly recommend him. He just finished our concrete slab for the driveway, foot path and council part. Will start paving work very soon and hopefully finish everything before end of the month. I don't have his details with me now, will post it here later... Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 9May 11, 2008 3:07 am Allan - a fellow insomniac! Nice to know there's at least one other.
I will be watching your post with interest too. Will need someone to do our driveway (eventually) too. Judie Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 10May 12, 2008 11:24 am I am been very busy at work, so didn't have time to post photos on our landscaping progress. Boral run out of stock for the blocks (Heathstone) we are going to use for retaining walls and have to wait until 20/5, and it delays our progress a bit.
Our landscaper Joe is very clean and organised, we saw his work with a few houses in Epping area in past 6 months, everyone very happy with his work. Just have a quick chat with him and here's his contact: Joe 0411 257 373 Just mention Allan and Nini from Epping and he will give you a good deal. Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 11May 13, 2008 1:06 pm Hi Allan,
Thanks for the info. I have spoken to Joe & faxed him all the details. I'll let you know how I go. At least he didn't say he wasn't interested, which is all I've heard from 10 out of 11 landscapers so far ! Let me know how it goes! Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 13May 13, 2008 3:28 pm Hi Allan,
Does this Joe do all landscaping ie retaining walls, driveways, fences and plants? Or just driveways? Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 14May 13, 2008 3:35 pm sammy Hi Allan, Does this Joe do all landscaping ie retaining walls, driveways, fences and plants? Or just driveways? Yes he does all those jobs for us, we only need to talk to him and he organise everything including: 1. site clean up 2. installing fence 3. concrete slab for driveway with paving on top 4. council inspection (we made the payment first) 5. front brick walls (by another sub-contractor as Joe mainly does block ones) 6. retaining wall using blocks 7. lawn/turf 8. plants Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 15May 13, 2008 3:42 pm Thanks Allan,
Will definitely give him a call! Re: Driveway - retaining wall - decking contractors in Sydney ? 16Jul 04, 2008 8:54 pm Just wanted to update you all on my dealings with Joe.
He came out & was very helpful & good at explaining everything. However, I have never received his quote. I've chased him up once about three weeks back, but I'm not going to beg. I guess, like most tradies, he's not interested in the job. Nevermind, I've selected another contractor who seems very good. I just don't understand how these guys would not be interested in a $60K+ job ! Here's our chosen contractors details :- http://www.greenminded.com.au/Contact%20Us.htm He has not started on site yet, so I can't comment on his work, but so far everything is ticking along nicely. I just don't understand how these guys would not be interested in a $60K+ job ! That's a bit embarrassing.... He just finished the lawn and paving last Thu. We have 140+ plants arriving Monday afternoon, but he will be doing some concrete slab work at a different site and won't be back until Tue/Wed. May be he is too busy? But not getting back to you with quotes after 3 weeks is certainly not acceptable... Good that you have found another one. Keep us updated about the status and show us new photos! Love to see how you're going to add extra highlights to your beautiful house with the landscaping! Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10975 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5197 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16159 |
