Re: Redink SOR First time builders 944Mar 07, 2015 9:13 am Hi Ardie! So sorry I haven't posted in so long, I've been thinking of you so much lately wondering how your build was going and have been meaning to log on for ages! Wow your house is looking absolutely stunning and has come so far!! You mustn't be far off your PCI now! Hope you are enjoying the journey and redink have been looking after you! Bet you can not wait to get your hands on those keys, do you have a rough idea when you can expect handover? Re: Redink SOR First time builders 945Mar 08, 2015 8:51 am ardie514 It's our garden art Just showed up on our yard one day. Redink said they'd take care of it. Kind of adds to the curb appeal don't you think How odd that someone would go to the trouble of carting that off and onto someone else's yard?! I really like your rangehood, ardie it is very stylish. Re: Redink SOR First time builders 946Mar 09, 2015 3:40 pm Ooooooo love the appliances! that's what I'm most excited for! Have they given you a rough PCI date yet Ardie? I'm wondering how far out they can give you one... Bet you can not wait to get your hands on those keys, do you have a rough idea when you can expect handover? Hi Rosie, awww thanks for thinking of me. Been thinking about you too and so glad to hear that you're settling in so beautifully and feeling well. Things are moving along now and we're thrilled with how it's all coming together. I think I underestimated how stressful all the post-handover bits are going to be to coordinate, but our only real rush is that we can't wait to be in and settled We're hoping/thinking that we're about 4-6 weeks from PCI/keys. Keep those fingers crossed for us. Re: Redink SOR First time builders 949Mar 09, 2015 3:56 pm MalSannie ardie514 It's our garden art Just showed up on our yard one day. I really like your rangehood, ardie it is very stylish. Thanks Mal. I love the rangehood too. Who knew a rangehood could get you so excited?! We suspect the big rock is from the lot next to us where the developer is putting in a park/open space area. They've been doing a ton of work and lots of huge earth moving equipment. Maybe they think one of our trades dumped something there earlier on in the build?! Who knows. As long as Redink get rid of it for us before we get keys, that's all I care about:) Re: Redink SOR First time builders 950Mar 09, 2015 4:04 pm justy Ooooooo love the appliances! that's what I'm most excited for! Have they given you a rough PCI date yet Ardie? I'm wondering how far out they can give you one... Thanks justy. I loved seeing the appliances too. I've never had any so nice and shiny before You've asked the million dollar question. I asked last week and got the standard "approx. 8-10 weeks after tiling". When we met our SS he told us this was the standard response, but that he was certainly able to do it in much less, depends of course on a lot of factors and he didn't want to promise anything. Based on a formula involving 1) what's left on the to do list, 2) how Tori (and other Redinkers) progressed, and 3) what my gut tells me (it's a very scientific formula ) I'm guessing that we'll be able to schedule our pre handover inspection in about 4 weeks and get keys in 6. Maybe wishful thinking, but that's what we're sort of going on right now as far as tentatively scheduling all the post handover stuff. What do all you experts out there think? Does my guess seem realistic? Here's the list of what's left to do: • Plumbing and gas final (scheduled for this week) • Painter to attend to complete gloss out (I think this was completed last week) • Insulation (scheduled for this week) • Shower screen/mirrors and robe install • Door furniture fit off • Roller door install • House clean • Silicone • Final site clean • PART B Termico spray to perimeter • Power up house • Air conditioning Install Re: Redink SOR First time builders 951Mar 09, 2015 4:41 pm I am definitely of the opinion PCI will be in 4 weeks. That will all get finished so quickly!! That part of the list didn't take very long on our house so I assume *touch wood* that you'll be the same, given the current rate your house is progressing. That is my expert opinion your scientific formula is the same one I used so I think you're spot on Appliances look great as well!! Re: Redink SOR First time builders 953Mar 09, 2015 10:49 pm It was the CLO who contacted me and we got a letter in the mail about it. Re: Redink SOR First time builders 954Mar 09, 2015 11:16 pm You're so close, ardie! I'd be freaking out about the post-handover work right about now Also, your rangehood looks great! I am trixee, I am totally freaking out Re: Redink SOR First time builders 956Mar 09, 2015 11:34 pm Oh my word that is hardly anything left! How exciting!!! Re: Redink SOR First time builders 957Mar 10, 2015 12:31 am Not much to go now!! Am liking your formula too! Re: Redink SOR First time builders 959Mar 10, 2015 10:40 am In my opinion I definitley think you can expect PCI in 4 weeks Ardie, especially if you have taken all the paving out the contract, that saves a week right there! How exciting not long at all! The post handover can be very stressful lining all the trades up but you will be fine and once it's all done you'll be in your home and able to start settling in I will be checking in often Ardie, can't wait to see you have your keys and the finished product too it's only a matter of weeks now not months anymore! Re: Redink SOR First time builders 960Mar 10, 2015 1:05 pm You're nearing the end! Whoo hoo!
