Unless our name is Rinehart or Packer, we are inconsequential to them. Hope you get it sorted soon!! Re: Custom build - The Pavilions - SEQ - Bank delays handove 123Dec 19, 2013 7:20 pm Hello all Sorry about dropping out. Two weeks of madness, high drama and misplaced items. We have in deed moved.... I came back from my visit from Melbourne to kitchen appliances in the shed, tools in the laundry and food in the master bedroom Anyway here is a picture of my favorite room in the house - the living area. http://i1018.photobucket.com/albums/af306/kiakhan/null_zpse239dbbc.jpg Note the carpet squares under the lounge suite? Slowly working around to placing felt under all the furniture legs. Btw that lounge suite is the first lounge suite my OH's parents brought. It's 40 years old and well travelled as it came all the way from Birmingham UK. It has been reupholstered several times. It's the most comfortable lounge suite I've ever sat/slept on. Re: Custom build - The Pavilions - SEQ - Bank delays handove 125Dec 20, 2013 7:36 am Looks beautiful, can't wait to see your other spaces Re: Custom build - The Pavilions - SEQ - Bank delays handove 126Dec 20, 2013 3:15 pm On Sunday it will be two weeks since we moved in. Prior to handover I had quotes done for window tinting and after a few days at home. OH was talking seriously about tinting windows. Last weekend I rang to give the green light to tint all Western facing windows in the new year. Then OH said lets get the lot done. Surprisingly the company tinting the windows said we can do the tinting on our last day before Christmas break (today). So today all our windows except for bathrooms/toilets/powder room were tinted. Wow what a huge difference the tinting has made to reducing the temperature in the buildings, the glare coming off the ground and the neighbors colour bond roof. Plus it will save my timber floors, carpet and furniture from fading. We selected the tint that blocked the highest amount of UV, so the tint is dark. Consequently the inside is darker and visibility into the house is minimal. The cost to tint the whole house was less than the cost to order two sets of panel stacking blinds for our three meter wide stacker doors. So all in all we felt tinting was good option for us. I am still unpacking boxes and trying to find homes for items packed two years ago when we moved into the rental. I will take more picture when the boxes disappear (this weekend I hope.) Yesterday I meet with the fencer to get a quote on fencing the 140 meters on the front and the 86 meters along the side. Not looking forwards to seeing how much it costs. That's so great they could fit you in this week (usually an impossibility). Sounds like you are settling in well. I think I'll have the same problem as you, our stuff has been in boxes for at least 2 years!
