Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 08, 2013 3:22 pm Hello all, I am a first time new home builder - hoping to build in Wellard and hoping to build with Goodlife Homes. Now, everyone says "do your homework" - but there's so much out there and I don't know what is reputable or not - can anyone give me any guidance or websites I should visit? For instance, I have chosen a couple of house designs I like and I have visited the display homes and there are minor changes I want to make, like adding a door here and there. What confuses me is what happens next (oh, and I have finance sorted too). So, HOW do I know what is actually included with the house plans, how do I ask the building company for a complete cost? when they finally tell me this, what is the next step? I basically need a list I can checkoff and follow to make sure I'm doing all the right things. Would be grateful for any advice! Thanks!
