Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA continues to disappoin 41Nov 25, 2014 8:15 pm wow i thought i had it really bad with homegroup wa... sounds terrible what you have gone through.. i am having my PCI next week and will let you know how it goes. and would be interested to know what they called quality. there are things that I picked up on, and noted to homegroup wa but no correspondence as to how they would rectify it. there is meant to be concrete slab underneath the hws and they used bricks instead, my garage door was damaged however they said they will paint over it. lol. they do take a lot of time, and there are weeks where I see no progress at all... my build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73335&hilit=henry+ Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA continues to disappoin 42Nov 25, 2014 10:10 pm What a horrible experience! To be honest, I found HGWAs response to be a tad patronising. Hope things start to improve The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA continues to disappoin 43Dec 01, 2014 10:45 am Hi henry, I've sent you a message on the 26th of November to discuss your build, but I am still yet to hear back from you. Could you please get in touch, as you mentioned you have received no correspondence from us... Also to clarify your post, there is a concrete slab underneath your house (not bricks as you mentioned). We will never forget how we were treated but happy to have positive experiences now to focus on Ceilings were completed a week ago and now just waiting for the white set to commence. SS said they would attempt to be at tiling stage by Christmas but I think that would be a Christmas miracle. I am hoping we are at least at lockup. We are really happy with the progress though and are enjoying taking a walk down in the evenings to see what has been done during the day. Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA 48Dec 08, 2014 8:19 pm Glad things have finally improved and progressed for you Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA 49Jan 16, 2015 4:48 pm Wow, what a nightmare +Tbrown2012. Had morning tea with your parents and they told us all about "The Incidents" and the aggressive attitude of the builders which has clearly made an impact on them. Your folks are tough though and will bounce back but its sad that what should be such an exciting time turned out to be one of confrontation and negative memories. However I am sure that in the end the home will be lovely and in a few months time all the problems will have been forgotten. Let's hope that from now on its smooth sailing. Glad we went with Aussie Living though, no real problems worth mentioning. Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA 50Feb 04, 2015 12:05 am Thought I would update my folks thread with some recent photos. Home group have really lifted their game and been making great progress. They have not been given a PCI date as yet but can't be too far off at all. Only things left to do as I see it are: Mirrors, robe sliders Door handles Garage door Silicone bathrooms Carpets An of course the usual fixing and tidying bits and pieces. Don't have a PCI date yet but really only garage door and touch ups left but they're thinking beginning of March. Build time Admin - 9 months Build - 8 months ( we believe construction stage after brickwork went really well and as we are getting painting, carpets, paving everything done by HGWA 8 months is fair time) Will let you know how PCI goes when we get there Re: Burns Beach build 2-Home Group WA photo update 55Mar 13, 2015 10:14 pm Key handover day for my folks!!!! I am so thrilled for them, such a happy end to this journey. Celebrated with the obligatory champagne and pizza picnic!
