Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 28, 2013 11:19 pm Hi everyone, My name is April & my partner (Garry) an i are excited to be building a new home together near Yamba N.S.W After looking at display homes we fell in love with the Perry's Plazzo. So after a yr of talks an planning we are finally at building stage which with Perry's is at record pace. There has been a few hiccups with Bricks due to quality problems etc but after stressful phone calls an running around looking at samples we chose another brick through Boral. So on here i shall post pic's of our progress an colour choices so you guys can see but i to can also can keep track of our new home. This site has been a god send for help an advice. So i hope i can maybe repay the favor some day with my own advice an tips that i have learnt an am currently learning along the way Once i learn how to upload these pics that is... Bare with me as i've no idea if i've done the photo thing right! http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/20130928_173149_zpscb289b68.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/20130928_170203_zps053fd8ab.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/20130928_170907_zps7c250b52.jpg Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 2Sep 28, 2013 11:22 pm Our Bricks have arrived an get started on Monday We chose Boral Fusion Platinum http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/20130928_170052_zps0b0f558c.jpg Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 3Sep 28, 2013 11:40 pm Here are some some pic's earlier in the process... http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/Meshuponthefences_zpseefe18c7.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/sorttt023_zps7bcfebbc.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/sorttt032_zpsfa9356cd.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/Stage2007_zpsb96e4bee.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/Stage2011_zpsab111c90.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/Stage2025_zps17690f12.jpg http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz39/Hippy82/Stage2014_zpsba2f3ac1.jpg Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 4Sep 28, 2013 11:49 pm So apparently once we are at lock up stage we have to give our SS 2 weeks notice to come an view our place. And we are only to view it when his there. Has anyone ever had this experience? I find it unfair as we both work 5 days a week and our SS will not come out on weekends... It's just so frustrating as we are so excited to see it all take shape. Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 8Sep 29, 2013 1:14 pm i suppose you can always sneak a look through the windows Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 10Sep 29, 2013 9:41 pm 1rocky quick question.... We noticed there are alot of chips on the edges of our bricks. Did you experience that? Some are rather large at the size of a 50cent coin... We are worried that when they start laying them tomorrow that we are going to see all these chips on our nice bricks Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 11Sep 29, 2013 9:58 pm What kind of bricks did you choose? I was choosed slurry bricks. Iam worried too Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 13Sep 30, 2013 6:32 am we had presto hotham a pgh brick we also asked about the chips in our bricks but they were never used we had an awesome brickie he explained it happens and they will not use them which he never did so hopefully your brickie the same. we looked around after brickies finished and when talking to them Re: Building Perry's Palazzo 278+ 14Sep 30, 2013 2:13 pm Made the call to our SS & his on top of it by ordering more bricks... He seen them an got on the phone to boral this morning. So we are at ease now which is great. We have had dramas with all our tap wear though as there has been a mix up an they had us down for all standard fittings I'm pretty sure it's all sorted now however i'm left wondering if i should of had a mixer in our Laundry? Any thoughts?? We have gone with mostly square taps an fittings in our Bathrooms due to having square basins... Just got to find a nice mixer for our kitchen sink...
