Will drive past yours and have a look see, it's a good idea to lessen the black, it does have a bit in it doesn't it.. EmyN I really like that exposed aggregate blend. What's it called? Emy, I've just googled the company Angel referred me to, and it's a local Melbourne supplier, and their range can be found here: http://www.midwayminimix.com.au/concrete/exposed-aggregate.php --- onlot234 - driveway - PCI on Friday! 174Dec 03, 2013 8:33 am Angeltherapy We went through Rams. No issues at all. Ohhhh the suspense.. Lol can't wait to hear what it is. I'm sure no matter what it will be fab. It already looks amazing from your choices. I'm glad you didn't have any valuation issues.. seems to have really really really good pricing. The cost per square metre comes in below $1,000 which I've picked up seems like a good deal? We're cutting it very close and doubt we can wrap everything up before Xmas.. --- Re: onlot234 - Tender: signed! 175Dec 03, 2013 8:43 am Angeltherapy Wow wow wow. Awsome choices. Love the sinks. Sure am looking forward to your build. It is going to look amazing. Also one more thing Angel, did you upgrade your mortar colour? --- Re: onlot234 - Tender: signed! 176Dec 03, 2013 6:26 pm MyH1Login Angeltherapy Wow wow wow. Awsome choices. Love the sinks. We hardly did any upgrades. You shouldnt have an issue with valuation on construction costs. Re: onlot234 - Tender: signed! 177Dec 03, 2013 6:54 pm Went to Midway today, so many choices for aggregate, and the price climbs the nicer it looks of course. Naturally I fell in love with one of the more expensive types! The one on the left is the most expensive, middle is standard range, and the right is just above standard. Yep had the same saga. lol I really liked the fist one, but way over budget. The option to be able to change the ratio was great. Take a sample of your render colours in and they can advise what ratio would suit. If you want it that light just do the ratio 10 black and 90 white. That will work. or 20-80. So much to consider lol.. but well worth it. here is a couple of pics of our driveway. http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r777/rs_cheluvaiah/20131118_172431_zpsa96a01af.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r777/rs_cheluvaiah/20131118_172502_zpsc07af937.jpg Re: onlot234 - Tender: signed! 179Dec 03, 2013 8:29 pm Angeltherapy here is a couple of pics of our driveway. Thanks heaps, that saves me from driving to have a look! I checked the close up, but in daylight you can't even really tell the black specks! I think 70/30 would work well for us too The ratio, did you include it in your contract yeah? The guy at Midway said we can tell him directly just before they get there, but to be sure I'd rather have it in contract I assume? My actual favourites were outside, where smooth pebbles were used.. But, if I were going to get something more expensive (and had the luxury to!), I'd do everything in mosaics.. lol --- Re: onlot234 - Tender: signed! 180Dec 04, 2013 7:54 pm we had coloured concrete included in our contract not aggrigate. . We made the change later. The ratio should be specified on your colour selection document that is part of the contract. Just email the appropriate person to make the request that the ratio for the chosen aggrigate is what you want. |
