Pics of selections :) 106Nov 04, 2013 9:47 pm Well done!!! You must be so relieved And hey, as a mum of 3 boys, I totally get where time goes. Have to go google all your choices now . But I get a picture of what you're going for and it's stunning! So, builders white on the walls too? So hard to chose a good white, or rather the right white. Have only got little battery left, so if I don't come back to comment after my google search, I will tomorrow Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Building the Porter Davis Dunedin 29 maybe, thinking of forfeiting deposit and going with CH or UE Re: onlot234 - COLOURS - 90% certain! Hmmmm, might get a quote on smart strand myself. Love it all, you've done a terrific job! Don't second guess yourself, it's going to look great! Oh, I've hot prices on a few things, of course different house so prices will vary, but let me know if you want any to prepare for tender Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Building the Porter Davis Dunedin 29 maybe, thinking of forfeiting deposit and going with CH or UE Re: onlot234 - COLOURS - 90% certain! I'm unsure about the Cashmir splashback, I think in some light it looks blue. Also, Smartstrand isn't cheap.. HN has a "sale" on at the moment 15% off the carpet (not incl underlay or installation). Have you felt Smartstrand? Seriously it is heaven. Haha no pressure on replying back, I use this to remind myself what I have to do as well, coz I forget! So now on my mind I have to action those three TBCs in the red lol. --- Re: onlot234 - COLOURS - 90% certain! Pics of selections :) 110Nov 04, 2013 11:01 pm You have been busy, well done!! Everything you've chosen ties together well Thanks!! The builders carpet sticks out like a sore thumb, might change it to the lightest available, but depending on how we go with Smartstrand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk --- Re: onlot234 - COLOURS - 90% certain! That light coloured carpet makes me nervous though, ours is pretty much as dark as you can get lol 2 Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: onlot234 - COLOURS - 90% certain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk --- Re: WHITE = struggleville! Can't choose! Colour consultant? 114Nov 07, 2013 9:35 pm My head is spinning Unsure if $140 for the cost of a Dulux colour consultant would be worthwhile, as I can't decide (or am very confused) about which WHITE to match up with all my other selections! Having read plenty of comments and looking at Pinterest images of different whites, I still don't know which conclusion I should arrive at. Of course even the laptop screen colour comparisons won't do since it's not a true representation of what will come out of the walls. Tough too, since I'm not able to 'test' a room in the house, because the house isn't built and there's no display house of my design! I have two houses to view this weekend, one with all Builder's White, and the other Lexicon Quarter. Was happy to go with either, until I took all my other selections out into the shade on a sunny day and because all my choices are either light cream or soft white, Lexicon Quarter looks a bit too sharp when combined with them. So, having read pages and pages on WHITE, I've come to the conclusion that my choices would be one of the following (Using the Dulux Colour Atlas): Whisper White Natural White Antique White U.S.A. Fair Bianca Half Lexicon Quarter Vivid White Has anyone seen images/threads/posts of a similar colour theme as mine, to see which white works best? I didn't think choosing white would make me so nervous, so any help (as always!!) is greatly appreciated! --- Re: WHITE = struggleville! Can't choose! Colour consultant? 115Nov 07, 2013 9:48 pm Gah! Such a tricky choice! I know that carlisle homes use dulux. Maybe give them a call, or send them a message on fb and ask if the have any displays with the colours you're after? Colour consultant? 117Nov 07, 2013 10:08 pm Mumtomonkeys I think maybe due to your carpet choice, you should go something from PN1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I'm so noob at all this, I didn't even know what you were talking about.. until I did I agree, as much as I didn't want to have a yellow base, it's sort of, default! And since I'm no owner builder, I'm only limited by what's available (and what most Cat 1's can get me!) Here's my selections which would be reduced by the PN2s based on your correct advice m2m Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ --- Re: WHITE = struggleville! Can't choose! I might have to do this tomorrow (and build up the energy to pretend I'm really interested in one of their designs so they'd be helpful ) How are you going m2m? Any progress with locking in a design? It's been quiet on the other Granvue thread. --- Re: WHITE = struggleville! Can't choose! Colour consultant? 119Nov 07, 2013 10:34 pm This is a pic that made me think twice... The white I love, except it looks blinding against my choices around it.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The mosaics I'm waiting for a quote on in the bathrooms definitely have a cream theme to it.. I'm leaning towards Antique White, as the more I read the more I realise it seems to be a good choice if a room doesn't get a lot of natural light, also good for south facing rooms (because of the same reason)..
