Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 341Aug 01, 2014 12:13 pm We had our tile meeting and were told 6-10 weeks, we are still a couple of weeks off getting keys, only need site clean, this is the most frustrating bit waiting for them to do inspections etc. ggrrrrr anyway it will be about 9 weeks since tile meeting by the time we have keys. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 342Aug 02, 2014 12:14 pm Hi peeps Sorry no pics yet, dropped my phone and we've been without internet until yesterday afternoon. We've had a hectic week of moving stuff over and officially moved in yesterday:z: , wardrobes were fitted yesterday by 2pm, can't believe how my adorable wife fitted all her clothes in such small wardrobes in the past Got a few small teething problems, dishwasher doesn't fit It's only because cabinet maker has added an additional board under the counter top which hopefully I should be able to remove. One of our new dining chairs is faulty so having to contact the shop today. On a more concerning note a couple of the doors don't lock properly, the gutter that goes across the garage has not been re-installed after having a fascia board replaced last Friday, one of the storm pipes is not fitted correctly, so HGWA getting a phone call come Monday Still having teething problems with the internet. Pool is scheduled for next Thursday, it's all go go go. As soon as I get round for more photo's I will upload Good luck to all still on their building journey, trust me, it's worth it in the end Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 344Aug 13, 2014 10:31 pm Sorry to keep you all waiting but its been non stop over the last few weeks. I'm back in work now but will upload photo's by the weekend. Have to say, I think the house is awesome Now I need some help, if anyone has the contact email for Paul Silvestro of HomeGroup WA please pm with details. After 3 weeks of having the keys they still haven't replaced the gutter at the front of the garage. Everytime I speak or email HomeGroup the reponse I get is we';ve spoken to the tradie and they will contact you direct, well i've still ahd no call so I want to send an email to Paul venting my frustrations, hopefully they will then put a rocket up their backsides. I'm not blaming HGWA for this but I shouldn't have to be chasing them! Still having issues with the reverse cycle aircon! Basically zone 4 works backwards, when its says the zone is off it's on and vice versa. trying to get F&D to sort it has been a journey, no one believing what I'm telling them, 3 different people out to the house and now they're replacing the zone unit under warranty. Funny bit is they came across as doing me a favour having it fixed under warranty, as they couldn't have installed & checked the system correctly in the first place as they didn't install the unit to turn it on/off there was no way they could've checked it. How dumb are these people On a good note, the pool was delivered last Thursday, they were back today finishing off the plumbing of the filter etc, tomorrow the sparkie comes to wire it all up and the pencil compaction gets done tomorrow. At least some people know how to do their job right Hope all your building journey's are running smoothly Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 345Aug 14, 2014 12:53 am What a pain!! But I'm glad your enjoying your new home Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 346Aug 14, 2014 11:35 am Hope all your little issues get sorted very soon. We finally have a date for our PCI, next tues, I can't go as I start a new job on Monday so hubby will have to go alone. I am off this week according to HGWA we would have been in this week, we are now at the height of stress as we have to be out of the rental by next Sunday!! Aaaarrgggh, we have received the final invoice which states to the bank that they would like the final inspection to be done on or after the 22nd, that's the day we want to move in, leaving us the weekend to clean the rental. How long did your bank take to pay your final invoice?? We were only 2 weeks behind you guys ll the way through the build, can't believe how slow everything has gone this past month. I keep telling myself, it will all be fine once we are in!!!! Soaring stress levels!!!!! So wish we had held off on final payment, ok we would have waited for the keys but I bet they would've resolved these issues by now! Loving right now. Who did your robe fitout, it's beautiful. It's a king size bed! We were looking for a large sofa and saw this by chance, this it works perfectly We had the wardrobe fitout done by Lifestyle Wardrobes, Wangara. We were looking at Ikea and installing myself. Asked for qupte at the last minute and were so close to Ikeas price including installation. We've also had our girls wardrobes fitted as the price was so good. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 356Aug 18, 2014 2:44 pm OoOOoOoh it looks AMAZING! Yay for pics!!!!!! I LOVE your kind bed turned couch in the theatre what an amazing idea!! Your entrance looks lovely so warm and inviting and the master bed/ensuite looks great and SO big!! You must be loving it!!! And the pool looks fantastic as well - i can imagine it all finished and ready to swim in! Is that black thing in the backgroud the pump for the pool? We are trying to figure out where we should put ours once they come back to finish the pool off! Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 357Aug 18, 2014 2:58 pm We were going to make a lounge with a king bed for the theater as it would be awesomely comfy...house looks great Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 358Aug 18, 2014 6:43 pm you should be able to bend that bottom peice of the down pipe to point it to the drain. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 359Aug 18, 2014 7:32 pm Perth_Euro you should be able to bend that bottom peice of the down pipe to point it to the drain. It's not just the one pipe but practically all of them. I shouldn't have to bend pipes to make them right having paid best part of $300k to have the house built. If I bend it and it breaks it's my responsibility, they do it it's theirs.
