Building in Malvern Springs, Ellenbrook with Aussie Living current stage: Locked Up Est Handover Beginning of Dec My thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65509 Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 362Aug 21, 2014 5:21 am Hopefully getting somehwere with the stom pipe saga! I was sending emails daily to HGWA and getting a response each time saying pretty much the same thing "sorry that you are disspointed and having these issues, it is a priority for us & we have contacted the plumbers and they have assured us they will contact you" At the end of each day i sent one back saying that plumbers assurances are worthless as I've had no contact. I finally ended up going above my CLO's head and emailed the Manager of the CLO's & the Managing Director, pretty much got the same email back about forwarding my pictures, the plumbers will be in contact blah blah blah. Well they did contcat me at 5.30 that evening, so i rang them back yesterday and fair play to him, he said he could see that the pipes appeared to be too high and the drains were too close to the building. He then said he would order new down pipes, 8 in total for installation early next week, so watch this space. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 363Aug 21, 2014 10:34 am Hope all works out...it has to! Thank you for your pics. It all look wonderful and exciting. Your doing a great job. Keep the pics coming. Hope you don't mind us doing a drive by some time Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 364Aug 21, 2014 11:12 pm John + Ash Perth_Euro you should be able to bend that bottom peice of the down pipe to point it to the drain. It's not just the one pipe but practically all of them. I shouldn't have to bend pipes to make them right having paid best part of $300k to have the house built. If I bend it and it breaks it's my responsibility, they do it it's theirs. Fair call Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 365Aug 26, 2014 5:29 pm And so the saga continues!! Had to pay to have 90mm PVC piping laid under the driveway as it was a developer requirement to install the retic in the front garden, only appears the plumbers have laid the pipe across the original driveway only and not the extended part that we organised at pre-start. Plumbers there as we speak pulling up driveway At least HGWA have agreed very quickly that once finished they will ensure that it all gets laid again as it was originally, crushed limestone, compacting etc. Another watch this space. The plumber was there to sort out the storm pipes so not sure how that's gone yet, it will have to wait till I get home Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 366Aug 26, 2014 5:51 pm What a terrible thing to deal with when you are supposed to be enjoying your home not chasing after people to do what they should have done in the first instance. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 368Aug 26, 2014 6:35 pm evec What a terrible thing to deal with when you are supposed to be enjoying your home not chasing after people to do what they should have done in the first instance. Hope they do the job right this time. That makes two of us 2-cupcakes-pls maybe I should check mine out too? I found one end of the pipe and when I looked back through paperwork it looked like it was where it was meant to be on the original plan but not the after pre-start plan Not sure who's to blame, plumbers or HGWA but it is the plumbers that cocked up the length of the pipes so hmmmmmmm. Don't think HGWA are too happy to be getting emails or phone calls from me daily Still they've got their finger out since I mentioned this site and the fact I had been singing their praises and now I'm not, that's when I got the email from the CLO Manager. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 369Aug 26, 2014 6:39 pm hehee I may use that line Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 370Aug 26, 2014 7:18 pm John + Ash Don't think HGWA are too happy to be getting emails or phone calls from me daily Still they've got their finger out since I mentioned this site and the fact I had been singing their praises and now I'm not, that's when I got the email from the CLO Manager. Pretty pi$$ poor it had to come to that J + A ....... but I might stash that one too for future use, seeing as we are no longer on their Christmas card list either! Fingers crossed it gets better for you. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 371Aug 26, 2014 11:45 pm So I have been in my house for 3 mon and im still waiting on a few stuff to be fixed . Im being patient . And started to fill a bit of axiety . Its hard coz you notice stuff then you start to think what else is wrong . And then you cant be bothered anymore . And all you wont to do is enjoy your home . So now I have rang redink told them a few of my issues .and I am waiting on them . Because I hate feeling the way I have started to feel . And I will reminding them how long I had to wait at my 6 months check .lol . Might get a few extra things fixed he he . At this point still on my xmas list .lol Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 372Aug 29, 2014 4:24 am This isn't going to sound right but I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues, it's not right that anyone has issues after handover that really shouldn't come up. Obviously things do need repair, especially with the house still settling etc but when you clearly see that the trades have stuffed up it's a right pain especially when you should just be enjoying the house. Anyhow, we have had the down pipes replaced and they are all looking good now, reaching the drains and set at the correct angles. The plumber had to pull up parts of the driveway to locate where the pipe had finsished and obviously rectify the issue. From what I can see they have done a fairly good job although some of the pavers are loose, not too worried as HGWA have said they will sort that out, just a bit concerned as I have no idea exactly where or how many were pulled up as I was at work and the wife was out and got back literally as they were leaving, so if anyone is driving passed and sees me jumping up & down like a loon , I'm only trying to find the loose ones The pain I have now is trying to tie down my trades for the landscaping, still waiting for the pool bullnose guy to confirm when he's starting, was originally meant to be beginning of this week, the concrete guy is elusive too but need the bullnose done before he starts. Supposed to have had the pool handover completed last week but when they came out he found that the Comapnt had delivered the wrong pump & sanitiser system We paid for an upgrade and they delivered the standard equipment. This stuff really isn't that hard people, but they're now due back next Tuesday to complete. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 373Aug 29, 2014 9:11 am Sounds like it's all getting sorted...slowly... But Definitely frustrating when tradies muck you around like that. Hope it all gets sorted soon so we get to see more pics of your awesome home Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 374Sep 02, 2014 12:22 pm Hi John and Ash, You have a corner block right? Have LWP built your wall yet? They told me that I would get a brick wall and it seems to be the same on the other villages. If so, when did they do it, before or after handover? Many thanks! Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 375Sep 02, 2014 3:47 pm TheTurleys Hi John and Ash, You have a corner block right? Have LWP built your wall yet? They told me that I would get a brick wall and it seems to be the same on the other villages. If so, when did they do it, before or after handover? Many thanks! Hey TheTurleys. Yep we have corner block, ours was built after handover, I think it depends on how busy they are and when you get in touch with them. We were originally told to let LWP know about 4-6 weeks out from handover, they send out details of who you should then contact for the fencing, walls, landscaping & telstra etc. The wall went up pretty quick but we're still waiting for it to be finished. Just the painting of it. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 376Sep 03, 2014 12:39 pm And so the saga continues!! So some driveway pavers were pulled up by the plumbers, I found some that were loose around the top edge but wasn't sure of where else they had done it in the driveway, I conveyed all this to HGWA including where the loose ones were I knew about and suggested they contact the plumbers to find out, the reply was can I mark all the pavers that were pulled up. Do these people not actually read emails! So again I re-iterated the ones I knew about etc. Got an email today saying that a Supervisor went out and checked yesterday and..... " He has advised that they are laid correctly & is all sealed on the edges & there should be no issues" Somebody please tell me why didn't the Supervisor knock on my door and ask me to point out the pavers I know about? I was home all day!! So anyway, I emailed HGWA back... "Well he didn't do a very good inspection as yuo can clearly see that some pavers as stated below at the top edge near the garage have dropped slightly and the gaps between these pavers don't have any sand between them, I know these haven't been laid back correctly as they sunk when I stood on them! I was at home all day yesterday so maybe if he had knocked and asked some questions it would have made him look less foolish. I have someone coming out on Friday to do some other paving work so will get him to sort it and then ssend you the bill as your staff don't seem to be that bothered with my concerns. I don't know why it is so hard to knock on a door and actually ask the person to point out the pavers that are known about." Don't think that went down too well, this was the response "I have spoken to management & they have advised that you are more than welcome to list any paving issues on your maintenance form as this is what the maintenance period is for. They have also advised that we will not be paying the paving bill if you send us one as we will fix any issues up at the end of the maintenance period. If you are unhappy with my response above I am more than happy to pass on your eamil to my manager." Great customer service.........NOT, didn't even address what I see as incompetence on the part of their Supervisor!! Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 377Sep 03, 2014 1:50 pm I wouldnt give up . I would keep going until you get the answer you wont . Its not right . I was told by maintaince person that my chipping render was wear and tear. Yeh maybe in ayear not 8 weeks mate . I dont know whats happening .but lm not going to give up . Then lets say for example when missing grout appears is that wear and tear .obversley not they come and fix that at 6 mon . Be very careful when they say will come at 6 mon and do it . You see once they fix it then if it happens again they wont come back .so if you can demand it fix now . Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 378Sep 26, 2014 5:01 pm OK so I'm not one to bag businesses normally but we booked Concrete Style, back in June, to lay concrete in a back garden. Originally it was booked for the last week of August then we changed it to 8th Sept which they agreed to saying it helped them. So with a bit of bad weather it got pushed back to start last Monday at the latest, they're still a no show and are not returning my calls or emails. This really makes my blood boil as we have other trades booked & waiting on them before they can do their stuff, we also have items awaiting delivery that we are having to put off as we can't have it just sitting in the sand. So anyone thinking of contacting Nathan from Concrete Style, they do have a website, steer well clear as unreliable & unprofessional. We went with them as they did some work for HGWA which was good quality but it would seem they cannot be trusted. Thankfully no money exchanged hands but I have a full audit trail of quote, timescales etc, so I have the proof. Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 379Sep 26, 2014 9:18 pm hope you find someone better!! and soon Re: Building with HomeGroupWA - Ellenbrook - We got KEYS!!! 380Sep 26, 2014 9:53 pm I know how you feel still waiting for redink to come fix my shower . Sometimes I wonder what they think is important . I have a concreter if need one . He did my agg If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
