THE BRICKLAYING STARTED SINCE 6/12/13, AND ONLY JUST FINISHED THIS WEEK!!!!!!! SO SLOW AND DISAPPOINTMENT! THERE WERE FEW TIMES THAT THERE WAS NO REASON WHY IT WAS DELAYED, THE COMPANY SAID IT IS BECAUSE THE BRICKIES ARE THE REASON. i can't believe that the company stucked with those slow bricklayers without thinking of the client's needs. Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricklaying 43Feb 14, 2014 2:28 pm they had 2 weeks break for xmas. but still super slow! there were twice they gave a reasons, once was one of them was sick, and the other reason was one of them had a family emergency. but they can't b only having one person in the team. i just came back from 2 .5 weeks away, in these 2.5 weeks, they have done the garage and two more walls to complete the plate high Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricklaying 44Feb 14, 2014 5:05 pm That is frustrating. I was onto the builder every 2 days and they always replied saying the roof cover is going to be on that week but failed! GRRRRRRR! frustrating!!!!! So we had the pod look like this for 4 weeks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ On 1/4/14, we eventually saw the roof cover! and thank god it looks great! Today, we went to the site, the ground floor's plastering had been finished! looks more like a house! I was talking to ss last friday, he is hoping to have our house finished in september! fingers and toes crossed!
so far, thanks to Mick, our SS, things had been progressing at the great pace. only one problem. 101 and us agreed to have owner supplied bath, vanity and mixers for the ensuite. they knew that since the pre start last year. however, the bathtub is very heavy at whooping 150 KG!!!!!. so Bathroom warehouse said, they cannot take the bath to the first floor; and SS said the bathroom warehouse should take the responsibility. so, end of the day, I have to hire 2 removalists with my husband and a tradie on site to take to the first floor! thank god for the tradie who helped us for free! so after $250 later, the bathtub is upstairs now! lets see some pictures! (refer to firs page), but i quite like it. so I will leave it till the tiles down, and colours were clashed, i then will let the ss known to get it changed.
