Because our land was a rear strata, there are so many troubles Yay, I'm big on bath hehe Re: building with 101 residential-NOR perth-question 22Oct 02, 2013 2:19 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ look, the trees need to be removed at the front neighbours. and the council said it needs to be in writing and come front me and the front neighbour. Is this the problem the builder should deal with or me? it just seems soo many problems that the builder had asked me to do it. Re: building with 101 residential-NOR perth 23Oct 02, 2013 2:29 pm Dealing with the council was our issue - as was setting up accounts with Western Power/Water Corp for services. Given we are the ratepayers, it is probably reasonable for the council to expect us to sign off (and pay!) for trees being removed rather than trusting the builder. So now we'll have to pay to get that done again. Plus the $500 to remove the tree and then $500 to plant a new one once the build is done. Fortunately no neighbours to share for us - I even avoided doing the parapet wall in the garage to make sure we had our own space. 12 years living in an apartment probably contributed to having that view. What were the delays, or is this standard? i dont think its standard, but its just 101 is bit slow. mayb take too many clients than they can cope. Re: WA-building with 101 residential-help please! 35Oct 18, 2013 2:33 am deeps Hmm, looking at the slab, it looks like the wet area's aren't recessed? Wet areas with 101 (and RedInk I believe) tend not to be recessed. I think it's called direct stick - and to be honest (given that I'm building with 101), I haven't really thought a lot about. I kind of presume that this will tend towards the correct drainage but it might be worth following up on. Not all the neighbours agreed to contribute to the fence or retaining wall or both. HEADACHE!!!! So last six weeks, I have been working and getting quotes, talking to neighbour, councils and builders and broke down (night shifts make me extra emotional due to lack of sleep) Now, all the retaining wall and fence done and WE GOT BRICKS!! YAY hopefully we at least will get the brick work started before the Xmas break (i will work on xmas eve and xmas day, duh) so there are some photos for the progress Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ most of the fence done. pane of iPhone pic always look strange Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ frames delivered Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ bricks delivered Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ sand had been delivered right in front of the driveway. cleaver idea, NOT very excited Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricks delivered 37Nov 27, 2013 12:12 pm Great news Only reason I can think of that the sand was delivered there is if they plan on doing the driveway first to get better access to the block... But that would probably also require rectification of the driveway due to the heavy traffic through it whilst constructing. Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricklaying 38Jan 08, 2014 5:28 pm hope everyone had a good Xmas and happy New year, well I worked both xmas and new years\ the bricklaying was commenced two weeks before 101's holiday break and it said it would be finished before the break, obviously it did not happen, and now the builder said it should be finished end of this week, and the plate high payment will be due at the end of the bricklaying there is the progress so far Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ from porch looking into the theatre room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ standing at the foyer and the door to the dining/living area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ standing at the foyer looking at the front door Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ toilet Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ start of the garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ bedroom 4 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ hallway that sectioned the living area and bedrooms Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricklaying 39Jan 08, 2014 5:53 pm Congratulations on getting this far now the fun and progress really begins viewtopic.php?t=62083 Re: WA-building with 101 residential-bricklaying 40Jan 08, 2014 6:08 pm Looks great!! I'm building on a rear strata too and not only did any of the neighbours not contribute (tight arses) for the fencing and retaining, we even had to file court documents for one that refused to allow us to remove the dod*gy asbestos fencing and replacing it at our own cost!
