It has been a long road but so good to see they are powering along quickly now its looking great! And wowzers your ensuite vanity is massive!!!! I know Dee! such a long wait! but great too see the progress. x Re: WA-building with 101 residential-locked up! 64Jul 11, 2014 12:36 am went to site today before work with hubby. saw three lots of tradies were onsite. the kitchen cabinets, the decking and upstairs plumbing were all in progress. for our ensuite, although we did the pre-start aug 2013 and provided details of the bathtub then, but the drafting ppl didn't do a good measurements, so instead of 770mm between the bath and vanity, it would only be 700mm, which was not big at all. so the ss and I decided to push the bathtub close to the wall about 50mm away from the wall; and put the freestanding mixer to the the toilet end of the bath. in that case, the wall has to be tiled due to the moisture from the bath. therefore, more money to the builder for move the bath mixer and tiling the wall, I would say $1k. anyway, that will be part of the mortgage then here are some pics Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ kitchen cabinet in progrss Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ decking in progress Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ front rendering done and painted! look awesome! HI BMWorld, for rear strar, the pod will be built onsite due to the narrow access. they didnt tell me when i sign up either. I think at the mo, 101 prob took too many client than they can deal, so yes, do have a read about it, but on this forum, there are not as many ppl building with 101 than any other companies. good luck Re: WA-building with 101 residential-locked up! 69Jul 19, 2014 11:05 pm Can you tell me what roof and render colours you've used? Any chance of an update? how have you found 101? any advice or suggestions? Hi Sharky, I absoutely NOT RECOMMENED 101 residential!!!!!!! they are horrible to deal with!!!! they might be fast for other people, but very very slow for us! we signed the PCQ in jan 2013, then we did not hear from them till August 2013! the slab was down in Octorber 2013, and then it took them about 2 months to finish the bricklaying!!! they asked us to do the retainning wall AFTER the slab was done, and BLACKMAILED us in a way saying they will NOT proceed any further till the retaining wall was done! and then! with all the heavy machinary driving up and down the driveway, it shifted the retaining wall and scratched my new fence! 101 REFUSED to repair the retaining wall, and took a while to get them to repair the fence! there was one sheet of fence they are not going to repair, because they said the bricklayer dammaged them and asked us to contact the bricky ourselves to get the fence repaired, while they cant even get connect with the bricklayers themselves we put a notice of complaints in with them, it took them 3 weeks to arrange a meeting, in the meeting, the general manager came and said he only picked up our file 10 mins before the meeting and needs to go back to the office to clarify few things when they eventually get the enginner report on the retaining wall after two weeks, they interpret the report as the retaining wall bloke didnt do it properly. and refuse to repair, however, the retaining wall bloke called the engineer, the engineer said there is no way the retaing wall can be properly done in that case, and the builder should not have have machinery to go thru the narrow driveway to start with AND it hasnt stopped yet! the builder cracked the existing concrete driveway(there is a pic on the first page), and refused to repaire it. it was all because that there is one line, in a 80 pages of contract, stating that the existing driveway was not the builder's respoinsibilty. While the site supervisor had been telling us that they would repair the concrete for MONTHS! which meant the site superviosr CANT even understand the contract to start with! the builder finally agreed to only take the dammaged conrete away but NOT putting it back. so more expensive for us! We only got the keys on the 15/11/14 after almost two year! Will NOT EVER EVER RECOMMEND 101 RESIDETIAL! BUT IM HAPPY FINAALY GETTING THE KEYS MOVING ON TUESDAY!
