My dad was previously builder many years ago and he put on me on to Granvue after shopping around for us. Can't argue with dad lol! We are booked in to sign papers next week. So far the experience has been really good and straight forward. The sales guy was quite entertaining which was refreshing and my god he knew his stuff We have been to a few builders and he was just different and offered advice that made sense as our block was a challenge. Not sure what roller coaster your on, but I'm afraid of heights...haha! We chose the Lincoln frontage. I'll post some pics when we get going. Gotta read those threads that teach you how. Re: Looking forward to build with Granvue Homes 9Sep 28, 2013 6:27 pm MyH1Login Angeltherapy hi! You must be so close to moving into the new place soon! How exciting! Time has flown. Hi MyH1. Yes time has deffinately flown. We haven't got a date yet but im guessing about 6 weeks away or close to it until completion. The progress has been fast. I'm glad to hear your appointment went well. I'm sure you wont be dissapointed with the inclusions for the price. I'm still convinced they have it all. No one compares or comes close. Just came back from visiting display homes in search for our next build.lol crazy yeah i know. Two storey next build. Sad to say i wont build with them again for personal reasons. But still love their homes. Sales team are excellent. Great to deal with. I look forward to your thread. Great choice. Nice floor plan and facade. I agree with your dad lol i did alot of research and comparisons. By far the best for price with the inclusions. We signed our contract early stages in Jan. The sales team they have now, where unfortunately not there during our initial tender and processes and proceedures along with communication fell by the wayside. We watched weeds grow on our block until we could settle. During the initial contract stages and drawing we encountered some discrepencies. We were definately taken on ride we had so many ups and downs. I dont like rollercoasters. they literally make me sick. yes they all got worked out in the end. You must be so excited. Well done on your choice. I'm looking forward to the pics. I will post some of my colour selections and house soon. Wwwwhhhoo whhhooo show me your colours when ur done. I cant wait for my stone bench top to go in and flooring. Once i see it all then i can focus on the furniture. Take care. Hi Angela. I'm envious. I love the Topaz floor plan. Rash decision on our behalf to build the ruby. I'm not complaining lol. We just jumped right in without any thought. It was the kitchen in the Ruby that sold me i didn't even get to see other floor plans i was so excited. Only to find out later what i was told was included wasnt. Made my blood boil. Lol. But got it all in the end persistance payed off staying calm throught it all even when at times i wanted to pull my hair out. Which probably isnt a bad thing since i have gained quite a few greys during the process. Ohhhh they say its a sign of wisdom. I'm happy to go with that theory. Good luck and keep us all posted. Looking forward to seeing your build and posts. Blessings to you all and sincere warm wishes. Re: Looking forward to build with Granvue Homes 16Oct 01, 2013 9:08 am We went through the colour room to get some ideas on the weekend before we do our selections. Besides going to displays how did everyone here do their homework? Colour forums, interior design websites? Any suggestions? I have an idea of what I want, but will take suggestions to make the process easier. Angel, I viewed you images and your home looks ANAZING! I'm sure yours will be just as amazing. To answer your question, countless number of hours searching the web. All of the above applied. That is how i stumbled on to this forum. I also went to visit display homes. Took Friends and work colleagues opinions, I took sample cards to work. Two interior designer paint specialists, one from Dulux and one from Hames paint. I emailed my previous builders colour consultant to get his opinion also. Practically anyone that was willing to assist.. Just when i thought i knew exactly what i wanted ..low and behold a nervous twitch came on and the search began again .. I was so indecisive. Happy with the result so far.
