Running bamboos root systems spreads far away from where you originally plant it which can be an issue especially if the roots goes through to your neighbours side! They are also the variety that grows the fastest hence why most people would plant them for privacy reasons without truly understanding how it grows. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The non-invasive types are known as clumping bamboo. Their root systems can grow big (depending on the species that you pick) but they are central to where you plant it. They also take longer to grow to maturity but no chance of them causing issues unless you plant them in silly places. Also they hate the cold hence why ours have sort of slow down dramatically since winter hit. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Whatever weed is growing in my area is loving this rain and frosty days more than my bamboo We have the clumping bamboos as I have already voiced my concerns about them so hubby went and did heaps of research on them before we went and got them. The bamboos my father-in-law wanted to give us was a running bamboo!! haha no thanks. Red cloud bamboos is a great place for more information and if you are looking at getting them but each to their own i know alot of people don't like them as well. Not sure if Carlisle had white duck cause i didn't see it when i was at spectra! Henley changed the concept board slightly regarding render colors, they now included grey pebble with mud pack, try that if you can't find white duck. Reckons it was leaking from somewhere else so he sealed it where he thought. Hubby thinks differently but lets see what happens when we have another crazy storm. Ic it leaks tgen guess he has to come out again! But kudos to henley for their quick response time, impressive! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait!
