This is a bit of an interest-gauging post, as in I wonder if people would find my project interesting or not..
I'm planning on doing a custom build on a bush-style block in suburban Melbourne - the goal is to get a relatively small, high-quality "sustainable" home - without breaking the bank. Sustainable in this context would mean passive solar design, net-zero-emissions home with a good energy rating as well paying some attention to the materials used, their embedded energy, durability etc.
For now, all there is is this - rated BAL-12.5 & with Class A soil:
