Your plan looks great, I love all the storage you've got! cheers,it took us over a year to design it , and can never have enough storage. Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 4Dec 16, 2012 7:38 pm Love your design and the front of the house looks amazing Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 5Dec 16, 2012 11:55 pm Looks great MD! We sat on our plan for a year too ;o) Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 6Dec 17, 2012 5:36 pm TomCat Looks great MD! We sat on our plan for a year too ;o) i didn't add the 6 months of back and forth BS with the builder , the selections were good, didn't really add too much over the standard as they were fairly well optioned. Kitchen and vanities have soft closing draws & instead of being soft close bottom mount & melamine draws sides we went for the soft closing metal sided ones. The electrical ended up 6 grand over in the variations but most of that went to led down lights through out the house. this is 3 pendant lights that will be over the island bench Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this is the lights that will be bedroom 1,2,&3 & home theatre http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn232/maddutchman/light1_zps0791a68b.jpg Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 7Dec 17, 2012 9:57 pm <3 your taste in lights. Will look fabulous! Hey, how wide is your verandah MD? Ours is only one metre and I've since read that it shouldn't be less than 1.5 Made me think about the bullnose verandah we put on our current house 18 years ago (1.5m wide) which is pretty perfect. Oh well, doesn't matter, it's just for show and to shade our northern windows. I won't be sitting out there -- the dog might , but he's not that fussy Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 8Dec 17, 2012 11:21 pm Great lights! Should look fab! In the background of your first pic is one of my most favourite lights (its the one with the 3 round globes hanging down in a bunch) I couldn't get hubby across the line on them though. Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 11Dec 18, 2012 10:41 pm I like those lights too but DH prefers the cone shaped plain ones. We were about 18 months designing our place all up, we had about 5 variations of around 19 designs! very happy with how it's turning out though. Your plan looks great MD lovely facade It's the kind I would have gone for if we had bricks (DH wanted hebel so it has to be render) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 12Dec 18, 2012 10:45 pm Love your plans... Hey MD how long did it take to get to this stage (scrape about to start) from once you approved your plans? Engineering? Council approval? Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 15Dec 19, 2012 6:17 pm TomCat Nice! Hey MD how long did it take to get to this stage (scrape about to start) from once you approved your plans? Engineering? Council approval? we first did a prelim. with the council who approved it then we worked out we could bring the house forward & make it bigger at the back(this was due to fact we measured off the corner block peg instead of the front peg, the encumbrances were not clear). I think it was 3 weeks from final plan to council approval. Any ways, driving up parkwood drive thinking someone illegally dumped a lot of dirt on the block get closer and find out the works have started. hoooooray finally Re: Maddutchmans Parkwood(SA) House 16Dec 19, 2012 6:57 pm Excellent! We just approved our plans. That was a process in itself. Worried about what's to come ... Parkwood Drive is really choofing along. Your build is going to be a great one to watch Dutch - yay! Parkwood Drive is really choofing along. Your build is going to be a great one to watch Dutch - yay! don't worry we were in the same boat, just wanted things to be right & to make sure they were right & at the right price, many headaches were had, just made sure communication was buy email & in writing so if any issues arise we are covered.
