Stockland are a very well known developer. Any project builder can be used which is good. Newbie Re: Willowdale ( leppington) 9Jan 20, 2014 1:05 am Hey guys in addition to flooding, has anybody wondered about the possible impacts of the proposed Badgerys creek airport on Leppington. There is a lot of talk (I know there has been a lot of hot air about this over the years, so I don't know how much to believe) that there will be an announcement soon, that it will be Sydney's second airport. Willowdale is about 12-13km from where the airport could be, and Willowdale could end up under a flight path. Wouldn't that dampen potential capital growth of the area? What about noise? How would you feel about planes constantly flying over? Have you guys been mulling over these same questions? Re: Willowdale ( leppington) 11Jan 20, 2014 8:14 am It is in a " floodzone" and also "bushfire zone" as well. The whole Camden valley way would be considered a bushfire prone area I believe. All those details are in the contract. Re: Willowdale ( leppington) 13Jan 20, 2014 8:21 am In our contract our block and a certain few in the 1100 range arnt in the brushfire zone. Which means we don't have do have special fire retardant in the guttering or something like that, Our block is situated a bit elevated. I guess not all the lots are affected. Good news Re: Willowdale ( leppington) 17Jan 23, 2014 3:33 pm JnSWILLOWDALE It is in a " floodzone" and also "bushfire zone" as well. Re: Willowdale ( leppington) 18Feb 06, 2014 5:12 pm Hi Everyone, Im Jennifer =) My husband, son (2, almost 3 year old) and I are also joining the Willowdale community. We brought land at the last release of 2013. Our block is 400m2 and we brought it for $265 000. We are currently looking at builders, and are looking at going with either Kaplan homes, or hudson homes. Any advice on either of them will be greatly appreciated! Im so glad we have a forum to meet, and share experiences. We are very much looking forward to moving into our new home and am very much hoping the registration comes through in June to give everyone a fighting chance to be in before Christmas.
