Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 16, 2013 3:00 pm Hi All I've done a previous thread and somehow I've now done a new one so now I'm just going with it! This is long overdue. I am posting photo's from when Beaumonde first started back in May when they found nice big limestone boulders (more $$$$) until the electrical was done before the upper slab was poured which was done about a week ago now. They are currently taking all the form work that they needed to pour the upper slab so once that is done I'll post some more photo's of our nice upper slab! All I can say it's so exciting watching your house getting finally built! Read the developers specification which states rocks no bigger than 300mm (from memory) and made them go back and return the block to specification. Cost me nothing but a delay of a few days. Did the same with my daughters block in Burns beach. About to go through a new build in Burns so hopefully no problems 101 Residential in Burns Beach viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67711 Shire Approval 31.12.13 Slab Down 15.02.14 Moved in 14.10.14 Re: Build in Iluka WA - Photo update 5Sep 18, 2013 12:52 pm Thanks all. Yes the house will feel huge compared to what we have now even though there are much bigger houses that are being built around us. I can't wait for the extra storage and room as having kids has made our crap grow ten folds over! All the form work has been taken down and have dropped off the scaffolding yesterday! Yay! I've taken photos but can't find my camera. Yes we made Satterley (the developers) come back and rake our block (put us out about 4 - 6 weeks) but they only do so much ml's from the top (as per our contract) so when digging in soakwells, plumbing etc it will cost us etc for hard digging. A block about 4 houses from us hit cap rock when digging for a pool and cost them an extra $17K to put in their pool! I am hoping for a pool but will not spend an extra $17K for it! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
