Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 14, 2013 11:15 pm Hi, we have recently purchased a block in Hammond Park and we are now looking at builders. Dreamstart have great promos and inclusions, their reviews are fantastic but I’m trying to figure out if they are a little too good to be true. We are also looking at Commodore Homes. If anyone has built with either of these two builders I would love to hear any positive or negative comments. Thanks Re: Have you built with Dreamstart or Commodore Homes? 2Sep 24, 2013 6:19 pm Hi, I am building with Commodore, the sales guy is fabulous - but I signed up in December last year, my land was titled already and I was told I would have my brand new home by Sep 2013. They extended my land settlement 4 times due to delays, then the land settled whilst I waited for plans, the wrong plans were sent, then I received someone elses documents and personal details through the mail, then I received updated plans after another 3 month delay in drafting - we are now in September and I still haven't got the slab down so I would keep researching. Re: Have you built with Dreamstart or Commodore Homes? 4Oct 04, 2013 12:02 am Built with C?ommodore homes 2.5 years ago. Sales rep was fantastic. Building itself and admin/paperwork sucked. We built in perth eastern suburbs No communication, poor quality tradesmanship The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: Have you built with Dreamstart or Commodore Homes? 5Sep 13, 2014 11:27 am We. Built with Commodore several year ago; one story home took over two years. Elsewhere on this forum it seems that nothing has changed. The plus was a big home for a good price, but the time frame and lack of service was a definite downside. Re: Have you built with Dreamstart or Commodore Homes? 6Sep 20, 2014 12:17 pm Avoid commodore, currently building with them - delays, no explanations, no communication. its unacceptable that they tell you one thing, get your signature and your stuck with them. We have had slab down 7 weeks and still are 6-8 weeks for bricks to start. Yet friends that hace used other firms and signed 2 months after us have bricks completed. Its costing us hugely!!! And the worxt thing is they actually dont care!! Hi House buildno2 sorry to hear about that much long delays that's not acceptable , the builder should find a solution otherwise they will lose a lot in their business , its really scary for me as we are renting and our renting every 12 months increasing , Good luck hope they change and response quicker . I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 14345 First time poster long story short we are planning knocking down rebuilding a house in Wavell Heights We are thinking to go with Omni built homes as they are but flexible… 0 16278 0 15692 |
