I just want to pick the most durable and water resistant style. The new low profile ones look nice, but are they as waterproof and long lasting? TIA for you advice. When we were looking, low profile terracotta tiles werent as available as concrete so there was very little competition in pricing so our roof ended up costing us a small fortune in order to meet estate guidelines of low profile. If there is a type you like, you can ring and ask for the nearest house that has used them. That's not to say it would be close, it was 40minutes away for us! I don't think the terracotta will suit my house as well but I will definitely go for them for the sake of quality. Here's hoping that the terracotta are standard with our builder. As we have reached the limit of our budget I don't think we will be able to extend to non-standard externals. I am almost too scared to ask how much more they would be.
