Take a rest tonight and hope that you would be able to make it tomorrow. Good luck on your inspection and insist on having the same quality/colour as the karri timber in the display home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 150Sep 16, 2008 11:58 am Yes I made it! With lots of sweating and coughing
But I am so happy I got out of bed as there were so many little things I picked up on, like out double timber entry doors being bogged to fill in a part where they chipped the side Who on earh bogs a timber door and tries to get away with it??? Well after much huffing and puffing, they are both being replaced, but it's going to hold us up about three weeks The finish to our internal wall paint is mediocre, DH is demanding an extra coat as there are so many damn red dots . This is especially noticable in the main hallway. Timber strapping, we need to take it up with our CSO, and basily we refuse to back down on this. Look at the pics below and you can see a big difference with our timber compared to Karri on the display and other images from the net. The house looks hardly complete with no carpet/ flooring. Can't wait to get in there and sort everything out So why does ours have to look sooooo different Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 151Sep 16, 2008 12:06 pm You made it! Three weeks isn't long! Surely it shouldn't be too much of a big deal to restain the wood thingies, keep on them I bet they come around!
The first thing I actually thought when I woke up this morning was 'I wonder if Miss81 made it to the inspection!' This place is like an addictive soapie! Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 152Sep 16, 2008 1:59 pm Glad you made it miss81 and that it went mostly well! Hope you get the timber sorted. Those images you just posted, none of them are your house are they? Cause they all look good! Those images you just posted, none of them are your house are they? Cause they all look good! i wish that was my completed house. No, it simply shows that Karri timber looks the same regardless of where you live in australia and that i'm simply not loosing my mind Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 155Sep 22, 2008 5:05 pm Well after tossing and turning over wrong coloured timber strapping, our SS rang today to confirm my suspisions! Yes, they used the wrong timber!!!! As bad as it is, I am sooooo happy But SS says it's too much work to change. WTF??
I don't care... they did it wrong and they will change it DH is very 'unhappy' to say the least. To add to our excitement, our CSO has left the company. That's right, after forgetting to add all our upgrades and the hoo haa that we went through with wrong windows, doors, timber, paint, kitchen cupboards etc... She is going Anyway, I will keep you guys updated and hopefully I shall have some more good news about the render too. Cheers Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 156Sep 23, 2008 1:24 pm Hi Miss81,
Love the look of your house! I'm a bit of a newbie to this forum so i was wondering if you could help me out! I'm building the Flagstone 2150 and was contemplating having pillars instead of a wall for the front porch. The sales rep said it would cost 500 per pillar instead of the porch wall? plus extra an extra 500-600 to extend the porch to allow walking space between the Garage wall and the pillar. I've been looking at your front porch and it seems as though you didn't have to extend the porch at all, am i right to assume this? Also were you charged extra to include pillars, or were they standard with your plan? To me, having pillars instead of a porch wall would constitute less bricks hence cheaper to do?? I don't know if the sales rep is taking me for a ride...? Thanks Miss81! Bunky Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 158Sep 24, 2008 8:58 am Aaah so they did stuff the timber up - did you do a big 'told you so' to DH?
So are they going to change it? If they wont do that maybe they could restain it a colour that you're happier with? Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 159Sep 24, 2008 5:35 pm Hi guys,
Bunky - I have no idea about costs for changing the front. We simply copied the exact facade on display. The great news is that our new CSO is lovely and they are changing the strapping for us DH is still on their back about the render colour, so fingers crossed it all comes our way. Re: Our Journey Flagstone - We are In!!!!! 160Sep 24, 2008 5:38 pm Great to hear that the new CSO is lovely miss81! Unfortunate that she's only come along now though hey!
Also good to hear they are changing the timber. You must be very pleased Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7114 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23754 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23830 |
