We love the elevation, few things to tidy up on the floorplan. I welcome all feedback Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 26Nov 23, 2013 12:46 am Love it! Maybe some windows and back door in the garage? Personally I prefer a sink free Island so I'd put the sink on the wall. I'd also consider making the hallways wider as they are quite long. I think I missed something. Why do you want two toilets next to each other? Dodgely drawn plan with bigger rooms ensuite off guests bedroom Dif kitchen layout Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 28Nov 23, 2013 9:18 am Looks impressive and a lot of house! Certainly a lot of presence with the elevation. As a fellow future buildee in the area, have you got updated siteworks estimates for the footprint over the slope in the site? Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 29Nov 23, 2013 9:36 am Hi jays, Not yet, waiting on engineering report, then I'll be getting some quotes. Have budgeted for 100k so hopefully that is enough. Next doors cost them $65k Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 30Nov 23, 2013 6:50 pm Love the look and the layout. I am jealous of the garages! We couldn't work out a way to make ours a triple or two doubles as we turned our home on it's side so we are getting separate ones after the house is built. I love yours. Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 31Nov 23, 2013 10:35 pm I like your updated floorplan. One thing friends of ours had was in their guest bedroom with ensuite, the ensuite was at the entrance to the bedroom so it doubled as a powder room for any visitor, without needing to walk through the guest bedroom, or past all the minor bedrooms. Might be good for this floorplan also, and would be easy to do by moving the robe in bed 4 Recently moved to a 60's home in need of some improvement! http://s797.photobucket.com/user/leenii ... ch%20House Old house: http://s797.photobucket.com/albums/yy25 ... loo/House/ Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 32Nov 24, 2013 12:26 am Great idea. Have noted for the next version. Thanks Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 33Nov 27, 2013 12:03 am They cut in the neighbours place today, not a rock in sight. Wishful thinking that ours will be the same. Excuse poor quality pics. Hoping to get the site plan for our place this week. Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 36Nov 27, 2013 9:44 am wow that will be magnificent when finished! I would add a window to your dressing room, so you can air it out when needed. Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 37Nov 29, 2013 8:12 pm Just thinking about swapping Family and kitchen sides around? Any thoughts Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 38Nov 29, 2013 8:59 pm Having the kitchen leading out the the outside are could be great but I can also see advantages of living, have a large open inside/outside living area.... My first thing to suggest is think about how you will use the space, where furniture will go etc Love the house. Looks stunning! Re: Building dream family home - Bedfordale 40Dec 03, 2013 11:14 pm Gorgeous plan! I think it is a great idea to swap the kitchen around to the right - so you can see the kids playing if they are under the alfresco.
