Can see your slab drawn out in the sand Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 62Feb 04, 2014 11:20 pm It looks huge hey!!?? Thought we were gonna have a huge garden & pool but now I think it's just gonna be average size!! But apparently the house is gonna be big but I will believe that when I see it haha. You will have to come over for a pool party when were done & then you can stagger home! Lol Re: First build with Redink Homes 63Feb 04, 2014 11:57 pm I think you'll still have a big back yard! Do you know who you're going to get your pool from? We went looking on the weekend, we're thinking reconditioned pool from palm city pools, we have 6m at the back so a 3m wide one would fit, only need a small one Can't wait to see your house start going up, we will regularly drive by Our roof started today, yay! Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 64Feb 05, 2014 12:06 am Not sure about pool yet had a look round but then decided that we need the house sorted first so pool can wait till later. I will be driving past your tomorrow to check it out never got chance today! Can't believe your roof is going on & we haven't even got a slab yet Re: First build with Redink Homes 65Feb 05, 2014 11:04 am From when our little block picture got drawn out in the sand to when things started happening didn't take too long, so hopefully in the next few weeks youll have some action I meant to say, your kitchen splashback tile is the same colour as our feature wall tile in our ensuite, excepet we went for the flat non textured matte version of the tile Matches our kitchen cabinets. We went all matte tiles throughout because we loved the Madison display in Alkimos, but I still get moments where I think maybe I should have got gloss... agghh! Im sure if it looks anything like the display home, which it should because we chose everything exactly the same, then it will feel warm and welcoming. No idea what to do with our landscaping though! We were hoping to put a pool in asap, but with the prices we got I might have to sell my car first, haha. Who ever gets one first can have the first pool party We actually stalked your soon to be neighbour too, they have a patio next to their house that is kind of like a shed, exactly what JC wants to do to ours, so he made me reverse so he could take a photo - felt so d0dgey haha. He wants to have similar to restore a classic car in so that would be perfect. Do you have any kids? Somany kiddies in our street, nice hearing them play Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 66Feb 07, 2014 3:18 pm Torz1980 I have just been looking through pictures of the Redink display homes on the website & just found the tiles in the Lakelands display home ensuite & bathroom, we were only in that display last weekend & didn't even notice . Hmmm not sure if I like them as much now!! we are only having them above our vanity & I think it's the feature walls that I am not sure about!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Did you get the darkened kind of Chocolately/olivey textured tile in your bathroom as a feature? Or are those ones in your kitchen as your splashback? Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 67Feb 07, 2014 5:40 pm They are in our kitchen & scullery only, however there isn't much splash back in our kitchen as we have had a long window as a splash back in between kitchen bench top & cabinets Re: First build with Redink Homes 68Feb 07, 2014 11:42 pm Ahhh I see. Thought I had seen them somewhere. This colour one right? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Worried the end feature wall will be too dark.. Hopefully not. Just realised I never responded to one of you messages too whoops sorry!! Yes we have 3 kids age 11, 8 & 2 so we have promised them a pool so hoping to get one put in almost straight away. We went to the pool & spa show last year & you do actually get some good deals not sure when the next one is though. We are completely clueless with the landscaping too, just don't know where to start! Got a reply back from Redink today & said that they were still on track to getting the slab done by the 20th feb so fingers crossed it will fly from then on. Re: First build with Redink Homes 70Feb 08, 2014 12:28 am Yeahhh, we changed our minds so much with that tile. We wanted what was in the display and they said it wasn't practical because it was natural stone and would fall off - why have it in the display then?! Oh wow, 3! I want three too.. None for us yet. We will probably have our housewarming party as our engagement party too Were going on a waiting list this week for a Labrador puppy, we have to have an owner interview with the breeder to get on the list - I'm a HR manager and haven't been so nervous for an interview in a looong time haha. Do you have a dog you'll need to fence in quickly? How often are you heading to your block? Are you living close at the moment? Love your layout too - specifically the kitchen!! If we had of built with DA we would have had something similar - sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice!! Excellent WIR space! to be honest we never really looked at Redink and I am regretting that now because your layout is lovely Will also be considering the hobless shower. We did go to a couple of other builders but they either didn't get back to us at all or the quote was way over what we wanted to spend & Redink had a lot of inclusions at that time. I love the kitchen too I can't wait for it all to be done now so I can add all the new bits a pieces & finally make our house homely, you can't do that in a rental! Re: First build with Redink Homes 78Feb 16, 2014 8:30 pm I saw all your metal grid things down, yay!! Looks good! Is your pool going to be to the right of the house, closest to the road? If so how often? Re: First build with Redink Homes 80Feb 17, 2014 2:59 pm My parents in law did this with a hose once every second day I think, and it still had hairline cracks in it. It rained after ours was poured for about two days and we don't have any cracks at all, so maybe it needs to be REALLY saturated?
