Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 31, 2013 10:00 pm We are in the early stages of our building journey - still choosing colours. We are looking at PGH Cement coloured bricks, and were planning on using off-white mortar. But we have seen some houses which have apparently used colour matched mortar. Would anyone know what Masterton would charge us to have the mortar color matched to our bricks? Thanks!! Thanks for your reply.... I actually received a response from M yesterday.... they don't do colour matched mortar as it is difficult to get the same colour mix in the mortar from one day to the next, given that the bricks aren't all laid on the same day. So we too are having off-white cement!!! May be check with pgh, Depends on the sand, colour will vary Re: BRICKS & MORTAR QUESTION..... 5Sep 03, 2013 8:08 pm yeah, pgh recommended off white too. We only thought of the colour matched option when we saw it on a display home. Thought it was worth having, but we're quite ok with having the off-white mortar instead. Its all too easy to get bogged down in the minor details..... and no one else is probably ever going to even look at our mortar!! lol !!!
