Hi ahaa,
I just received a response from Jade this afternoon. I emailed her directly when the post was made as well.

We have started chip rocking. guys worked on saturday and finished ground floor. i am hoping they will finish the rest by today. We had a few issues with leaking roof. Lockily we detected it before chiprocking. the solar whirly bird wasn't secured properly.......credit to the roof installers....they came within an hour of notice and fixed it. I hope this is done properly now. we were allowed to make our own arrangements to install a few things by ourselfs like Ducted Vac, video intercom, security cameras, data points etc.......saved a bucket load by going through private tradie. Hopefully we will be able to finish in 3 months time. Cheers Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 430Jun 16, 2014 9:48 pm Vik71 Hi Guys Our Build is going smooth. We are thinking to have them too. Thanks. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 431Jun 17, 2014 8:20 am Siri33 Vik71 Hi Guys Our Build is going smooth. Any exciting news? We are expecting to start in July (fingers crossed). cheers, Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 433Jun 29, 2014 6:49 pm Hey Darali, Haven't visited in a while tbh. Next weekend will probably pop by and have a peek. We are going through CDC now, and have just found out about the very pricey sewer survey that needs to be done. Surely the developer plans would have been enough. Should be going through electrical and colours soon, but I think we may have to cut back pending the sewer survey outcome. Anyways this week I'll update the blog to get it to our current stage. Then next week hopefully add some photos. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 435Jun 30, 2014 6:51 am Darali Hi neighbours! Has anybody visited Heartwood this weekend? Any exciting news? We are expecting to start in July (fingers crossed). cheers, Hi, how are you going? We were out there yesterday. We show my in laws the progress on our house then walked over to East Hills for lunch at Davo's. It looks like the army houses near the front are ready to be occupied with a few others not far behind. I wonder when they will move people in? They will hopefully finish off our main roof today. We are also waiting for them to clean our bricks. It used to be frustrating listening to people say things move faster when they start building, but that certainly has been the case for us. I am very glad we have a fantastic supervisor who keeps us informed. We also have action happening most days. I have gotten into the habit of driving past between dropping the kids at school and going to work. I will let you know when I see action on your block Darali. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 436Jun 30, 2014 10:59 am We had a quick drive around on Sunday night and looks like quite a lot of the DHA houses on Coach Drive are complete. There were even a few that had front lights or internal lights on when we drove past. Once construction starts everything seems to move very fast - Its nice to get an idea of what our little neigbourhood is going to look like. Unfortunately still waiting on our DA approval from Council - it will be 15 weeks this Friday. I'm hoping that their revised guidline of 16 weeks is accurate. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 437Jun 30, 2014 7:56 pm Mishy, It must be frustrating waiting for DA. Ours took about 13 weeks and that was bad enough. Good luck and hope you get it within this week. Hi All, We are building a villina with Masterton on Warraburra way and we have got our slab. Hope it starts moving fast for us too ... Shobha Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 438Jul 02, 2014 11:15 am Ren1979 Siri33 Hi guys, Does anyone have the block that falls into zone of influence of the sewer main ? Our builder require water servicing coordination carried out investigation in our lot, they quote us about $1250 and they said this require by Sydney water. Is this true ? as can be seen on sewer plan provided by DHA the sewer main line located in the next lot, not in our lot. Our builder also request us to have another/current 149 certificate as our 149 has expired. We supplied to them 3 months ago when we did the drafting on first plan. Has anyone experienced this issue ? Is that true certificate 149 expired in 3 months ? Hope anyone can share info above... We did need to get a sewer peg out and have paid to have Sydney Water inspect the site too as well as extra engineering costs. That was all just over $1500. This was because we were actually building within the zone of influence. Lucky we were only just inside the zone and the existing peering was adequate and we did not have to pay for extra. Are you planning on building near the zone of influence? If so, the sewer diagram I was provided by DHA was not good enough as it did not indicate sewer depth. Our 149 was handled by our builder as well so I could not comment on that either. Best of luck with your CDC. Has anyone managed to use the work as constructed plans to avoid paying for a sewer peg out. I have had two engineers tell me it can't be used and 3 companies including the company metrowater who did the engineering and WAC plans tell me it can be used. They referred me to page 4 of sydney waters guidelines saying it can be used in lieu of a peg out (or Service Protection Report). http://www.sydneywater.com.au/web/group ... 045376.pdf Unfortunately I have learnt more about this bloody issue than I ever thought I would have too. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 439Jul 02, 2014 12:07 pm Hi Guys, We are also building at Heartwood. I've noticed a number of people are wondering where to get Sewer plans. We got ours from DHA (they were very helpful), I suggest you contact them and save for our street warming party! I can forward them if you provide contacts. MMWM Building Standards; Getting It Right!
