I have been away for a while. Moving houses is not that easy plus we had a huge hick up with the telephone and internet at our new place. Apparently, Telstra did not do the good job on our street with the upgrade of the cables and did not instal pits for the houses to be connected. As I have discovered 10 days after we moved in, we will not have anything for at least another month if everything goes well or even longer... I was so-so frustrated with them and with myself as well as I did not do enough research to find out what had had to be done prior the connections of the services. Anyway, on the positive note, I have some photos of the floors and wardrobes. Floors were laid just before we moved in and wardrobes last week. All the other installations like solar panels and air conditioner were done really well too. Just waiting for our fence and concreting to be done in the next week or two. I agree with deluxes, your wardrobe fit out is fabulous. Sorry to hear about your troubles with Telstra--hope it all happens sooner rather than later. Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 230Aug 28, 2014 9:31 pm Snap! Love your wardrobe. Are they from Wallspan? I got a quote and they were very reasonable. Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 231Aug 28, 2014 10:04 pm TomCat, I have ordered it from Image robes. Bir were $878 each with extra shelf and mirror doors. Wir $1,100. Thanks Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 233Aug 29, 2014 6:52 am Hi Vladmari..you are super organised that's for sure! Shame about your internet. Ive been quoted $1000 to have internet and phone line connected by the builder however I'm not too sure if that's a reasonable price or not. We are lucky in that our suburb is only just getting upgraged now to the NBN so theoretically should have good internet service when my house is built. I can't wait to see what fruit trees you put in. Will you put in a lilac? or is it wrong season for it now? Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 234Aug 29, 2014 8:11 am garage floor looks great and the house amazing . congrats. feel your pain with telstra . i battled with them for other 14 months to get the nbn connection . Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 235Aug 29, 2014 9:24 am Looks great! Can you please advise the installation company that did your solar system and how many kw is it? cheers! http://boostaoakfordsa.wordpress.com Site works: 26/8/14 Trench: 2/9/14 Slab: 8/9/14 Frame: 18/9/14 Bricks: 24/10/14 2nd fix: 24/11/14 Handover: End Feb 2015 Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 236Aug 29, 2014 11:22 am Thanks guys now I just need to unpack all the boxes it is a hideous task but there is no time limit at least... Boosta, Solar panels were installed by Green Engineering. The system is 5kW and the price was $6,000 not including the new meter which is extra $330 payable to SA Power Networks after the installation. It is booked for 16 September and then we can start using our solar panels The builder wanted to charge around $600 for the meter upgrade but we could use the solar system straight away if I went with it. Ninka, I will be planting lilacs as well, I am just trying to find the nice ones as the Bunnings we went to had last year ones even with the old flowers still on the branches. The other trees we have already bought are three peaches - dwarf "Golden Queen", dwarf "White Gold" and "Angel", nectarine "Okee-Dokee", plums - "Greengage", prune "Angelina" and prune "D'Argen", I am also thinking to get another yellow plum tree, apricots - dwarf "Trevatt", dwarf "Bulida" and still deciding between dwarf "Moorpark" and "Fireball", mandarin - "Japanese" seedless. This weekend we are going to Newton Nursery as they have lemon/lime grafted on one tree and I am also looking for a weeping small mulberry tree for the front yard. I was thinking to get fig tree as well but need do plan first where I will be planting all other trees and see if I have enough space for it. Oh, and I also bought two grapes as well. Did not think about it first but found really nice ones at Bunnings and could not resist First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 237Aug 29, 2014 11:29 am 1rocky, 14 months that's ridiculous... Telstra offered to reimburse me the cost of mobile wi-fi modem so I have bought one yesterday (Telstra one by the way), we will need to pay for the usage ourselve which is fine. At lease we have internet at home. My son is a student at Flinders Uni and need to have access to the internet. He had to go the the Uni library in the last three weeks and it is long way away to travel just to get online. The guy from Telstra also was talking about some sort of call divert services for the land line phone calls but I have to ask him a bit further on it as I did not get what he was talking about. So it is not too bad overall. I would prefer to have unlimited ADSL2+ of course but at least it is something First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 238Sep 16, 2014 7:59 pm Hi I have recently signed my contract with statesman homes and waiting on the initial surveys to come back for site and soil testing. I love your pictures of your house.....great selections. I have question about the kitchen cupboard design. Did you get to pick where you wanted the kitchen cupboards positioned and what size you wanted them to be? For example pot drawer etc I'm confused!!!! HELP Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - moved in 239Sep 16, 2014 10:50 pm Vladmari, your garden will be full of beautiful trees I'm sure, and make sure you put up lots of photos for us when you plant. The solar system that you have sounds like a very reasonable price. Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10982 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day. Cheers 2 9030 |
