I've just got my engineers footing report and it came in less than the quote which is good for me, but I'm realising that there are a lot of other costs like soil removal and extra electrical components which all adds up. Your pictures are inspiring, you must be so excited to get to this stage! Oh, the place where my dad is from is Blagoveshensk, Northern Siberia Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - LOCKED UP! 169Jul 01, 2014 7:04 pm Ninka, thanks, I have not posted more pics but we already had joinery delivered last Friday and all the gyprock has been finished. Hopefully by tomorrow morning when I visit again all the cupboards will be installed so I can post more exciting stuff I am from Vladivostok, which not very far from your Dad's city. It is actually not northern Siberia but we call it Far East so we are from the same region with him I am very happy for you. That's what I have been told, Statesman always overestimates footing provisional sum and then credits it back to you. Don't worry about extra costs. I had a bit of extra for electricity, gas and water connections due the very long block and unusual place for it. Most of the times it should not be anything extra. All the cornices are installed and cupboards handles are in as well. Have not seen tiler on site yet so hopefully he will be in soon. Will try to go there tomorrow again and really hope the tiler will be working there so I can go through the house and look inside. I have called the Statesman office today and asked not to fix skirting boards permanently to the wall as I will be doing laminated flooring after the handover. Brent has agreed with no problem at all. They will attach it in just a few places and give it one coat of paint and leave more paint on site to do the painting after the flooring is done. Also I wanted to organise the meeting with the supervisor on site to go through the house but have been told that the PCI is about 3 to 4 weeks away and the site supervisor will contact me in a few weeks to set the time for that. In a mean time I can go through the house while the tradies are working there (mind you, I have not been able to catch any of them there in two weeks). So fingers crossed we will have PCI very soon. The reality is coming upon me and I seriously need to start packing First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman-Greenock at Elizabeth Park - LOCKED UP! 174Jul 11, 2014 12:10 pm Fantastic...
