Advice on honeycomb/sol 7Sep 03, 2013 6:29 pm We upgraded all our internal doors for exactly the same reason. We wanted a quiet house, and put sound batts in all internal walls, so without changing internal doors to solid core, this would have reduced effectiveness of the sound batts. We left wardrobe doors as standard (honeycomb) but all other internals doors were upgraded to solid. We did not bother with wardrobe doors because these are inside bedrooms and the contents of the wardrobe provides additional sound insulation between rooms.
