Take any colour swatches you have found or photos. You can visit the my choice showroom on a Saturday before hand too we found this handy Coral Homes Marcoola 3Jun 17, 2017 11:32 am Research research research go in now and start asking as many questions as possible. Work out what you couldn't live without and were would your money be spent better. This time we went within our budget for tiles and over budget for carpet, lighting can be over kill sometimes. We source all of our fans with led globes for bedrooms outdoor lights plus pendants and light heater exhaust fans but for warranty and ease we got clipsal to do all the led lights throughout sorry should of added clipsal still charged for installing but I found I wanted other choices. We over spent big time 7k extra with clipsal plus 1k with elec for install and 3k owner supply items.....and we are still not done we need to get power in shed...yikes...i hate thinking that we really were under prepared with electrical and dont necessarily listen to clipsal advice mine told me i needed more downs in spots which are over kill now we see the area and made me put in a power point in my entry hallway and charge an extra $100 on top of the point claiming she needed to in case we put in down lights in our neich walls later!! (Lights and power run on different circuits was not needed at all) this was on top of Corals included electrical budget which was 5k When it come to tiles i went into both national and beamount a few times in different locations before selection day. I had an appointment with both for selection. I went to national first and i could not get much in the included range. I didnt sign on the day..... a week later i did the beamount appointment and was very happy with the service and the variety so signed with them on the day. National rang a few days later and i just told them sorry i went with beamount she was good about it. Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 5Jun 24, 2017 1:17 pm Thanks we went for our colour selection today and really happy with our selection. We had already been to Beaumonts twice before our appointment. As for lighting I have purchased all pendants and LED downlights, still need to get ceiling fans. I have looked at the lighting allocation and electrical and I am getting a bit concerned we will go over by too much. Does anyone know the price clipsil charge to change batten lights to LED downlights. Small white (wavy pattern) feature in ensuite wall and splash back. One step closer to certified plans. Our colour appointment variation came back as well, we wanted to change the fixtures from the ensuite to main bathroom, but have been told you can't do that. So going backwards and forwards with that. Buying plants and marking out the house this weekend. Need to get a good idea for the front as we have a slope. My very talented husband did up a mock of the front. We are now thinking of taking out the garden to the left of the house to be able to access the back yard. Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 20Jul 30, 2017 2:23 pm Absolutely love your bricks!!!! We went with moondust in the double as well. It was the only brick my husband and I agreed on. Being a double, was just a bonus. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
