Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 541Jun 01, 2014 3:45 pm Ours includes pool and lighting etc. Also includes the other things like fencing - I asked narellan pools and they said it's an ohs law that there has to be fencing around the pool whilst it's being built. Even though it's going in later. Also includes the work drawings (plans) home owners warranty and so on. That brings total to 33 but only thing it doesn't include is dumping of soil but he reckons we will be able to dump somewhere lpcal Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 543Jun 01, 2014 5:15 pm With fencing and stuff, we realised we could do it cheaper ourselves, that's why we didn't include it. I think one of my quotes was $100 per metre for glass fencing and kj has said that it's even cheaper from bunnings. We thought as well that it would be easier to do it after and avoid all the fencing and covering costs etc. We should have enough room down the side and it will only cost about $750 for the crane if need be - he's said the gap is wide enough so we will see. We also did get a deal with lights and spa jets with their promotion last year, so there was no additional cost for those. Any nasties we should look out for? also is 18k for site costs the going rate?? Cheers in advance Che Our site costs were approx. 20k... I think that is about the going rate. Try to price all your added extras before you sign so there are no big surprises. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 550Jun 30, 2014 2:05 pm MelandChe wow thanks for the fast reply, thats a pretty steep price for site costs, but i guess thems the breaks. Anyone else in 5b??? We required a salinity slab - ensure you are quoted on this. Double check your 88B Instrument and or 149 Certificate to check whether this applies to you. If they aren't available yet, just ask for pricing on one. And we hit rock on our block too. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 552Jul 20, 2014 8:39 pm Good evening all, I have been reading through some of the posts for a while now and thought being as our land is so close to being registered I would sign up and join in the chat. It's exciting reading about everyones developments and hearing about the progress, I bet those of you still waiting can't wait to move into your new home. After a last minute change of plan, we are now hoping to be building with Eden Brae, we just paid for them to do the soil test etc (already had that and 6 tenders from another builder) and will wait for our tender. Is anyone else building in 4B? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 554Jul 21, 2014 6:12 am Hello Lstr123 We are lot 417 on Yerrang Avenue, looks like you will be just round the corner from us. Who are you building with? It's exciting isn't it, have you had any update as to when it's registered? I popped into the office 2 weeks ago and Jeff said 5A was holding it up, so should be 3 weeks. Let's hope it's not much longer. Not far off being neighbours! You might be grateful haha I have two young girls and two dogs Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 555Jul 21, 2014 8:41 am Hi Lahri, Jeff told me the other day 4a has to register first. He has told me about 3 times it's about 3weeks away so I'm not getting my hopes up too much. Mine is still in drafting etc stage so not too worried as land hasn't registered yet. We have 2 young boys. 2 and 9 months. You'll probably hear me screaming at them all the time haha. We are building the ambassador with modifications with wisdom. Very exciting..... If we ever get there hehe Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 557Jul 23, 2014 9:35 pm Lstr123 we haven't looked at their floor plans before, just had a quick peak at their site, the ambassador looks lovely. Very exciting times. Chapman88 I didn't realise 416 was part of our release, we assumed being as it wasn't fenced like the rest that it had been on a previous release. We are looking at building the Lincoln but being as we have changed builder we are back to tender stage. I searched for the Facebook page but nothing came up, so you have to be added to the group? Thanks We have two girls, a 6 year old and a 4 year old, it sounds like there are going to be a few of us in this release with young children which will be nice. Our neighbours (recently completed building and moved in) have teenagers so not close to ours at all. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 558Jul 25, 2014 6:17 pm Just been reading about pools, we are having one as well but will probably go with concept pools as they build a lot with Eden brae so at least we know they work well together and shouldn't be extra hold ups Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 560Jul 30, 2014 1:32 pm Hi Everyone, We are first home buyers and have no idea what all goes into construction after buying a block of land. So can anyone please list down the steps we got to follow once we secure a block of land. Any sort of info would be helpful! Cheerio OB! Wish you all the best.
