Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 322Mar 29, 2014 9:26 am Hi Lstr123, We are building with Unicus Homes. So far they have been great. Luke is very responsive and honest and we are so glad we picked Unicus. We have been approved by council so we should have a slab going down soon. Our block is on Bradley st. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 323Mar 29, 2014 9:04 pm Hi joejulesx and sunrise. Thanks for the welcome & replies. Hopefully the proposed shopping centre gets a wriggle on as I really don't want to be travelling to GP shops! Our home sold today and we achieved the result we wanted! Now for the cooling off period but so far so good! Ball is really moving along. Joejulesx - did you build a custom design? We have a meeting with Luke on Tuesday and will take some ideas along. I guess my immediate question is are you finding the price reasonable? So far we are impressed with the wisdom - impression but are uncertain about the kitchen and master bedroom. We are very big on storage and having a big kitchen as this is where you entertain and spend most of your time. Speaking to wisdom, it looks like it is going to cost too much with all the inclusions we will end up wanting. The base price is already 360K. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 324Mar 29, 2014 9:18 pm Welcome Lstr123 and congratulations on selling your house! I hate GP shops too - I'd rather go to the plaza, though I'm testing out costco tomorrow. Not sure when they are planning on starting their renovations but it can't come soon enough. I'd love to be able to push the stupid trolley on flat, level ground and not have it bash into my car when I'm trying to load it. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 325Mar 30, 2014 12:13 am Welcome Lstr123. Congrats on getting pegged Airy Fairy!!! I'm hoping the rain will hold off a little over the next few weeks so we can all get started.... Joe&Jules, a walking group sounds great!! Hopefully the proposed shopping centre gets a wriggle on as I really don't want to be travelling to GP shops! you will have use south penrith or glenmore park town centre as the darug/deerubbin shopping centre was canned by the ACCC for woolworths any way. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 327Mar 30, 2014 1:47 pm Not sure what else is going it the town centre, but I do know they are getting a Big W in there. The fruit and veg shop on Northern Road is supposed to be pretty good as well. There's a good butcher at Luddenham too, but I just never seem to get time to go up there. I bought about 3 months worth of meat from Costco today so hopefully I'll remember to take it out of the freezer every night. I'm really bad at that! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 328Mar 31, 2014 5:24 pm Hey Airy, let us know what the costco meat is like... We were looking at it a couple of weeks ago but only bought the sausages (last of the big spenders)... I think we are supposed to get an ALDI too... Looking forward to Costco and Ikea opening on Richmond Road!!! My hubby does not like the idea, but I am ok with it. Does anyone know what the building is that is getting built on the right of the first round about on bradley street when entering mulgoa rise? I am in for someone to walk with. I will loose my walking buddy once we move into mulgoa rise. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 332Mar 31, 2014 8:22 pm Sunrise1 Hey dream home wondering the suburb for Richmond Road. Sounds good! Hey Sunrise, I think it is classified as Marsden Park. It's not there yet but is coming!!! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 333Mar 31, 2014 8:30 pm Thanks for the reply dream home. I cannot believe that they are units.... I was saying to my husband shorly not. Monstrosity alright! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 334Mar 31, 2014 9:39 pm Thanks dream home. Units......I can't believe them either and there is another block to go up on the fenced corner on the opposite side of round about. Not part of mulgoa rise. We think they look awful and black out the view and nice entry into the rise. What a shame. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 336Mar 31, 2014 10:25 pm Something always has to get ruined. I'm still heart broken the water feature will be torn down Aldi I know are going into town centre. And apparently anytime fitness are too. Our house us finished. They will clean it think week and we inspect it next week. Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 337Apr 01, 2014 5:43 am Renski Our house us finished. They will clean it think week and we inspect it next week. That is great news - congratulations! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 338Apr 01, 2014 5:44 pm Congrats Renski! How exciting Costco meat is OK so far. We had pork fillets tonight and they were tender and juicy. We bought a huge piece of salmon and chopped it up into portions and it looked and felt nice. The mince, I think, will be quite fatty - not proper premium. We also got perch fillets, sausages, some beautiful looking steaks - couldn't justify the wagyu though; a pork roast we cut into 2 and some lamb cutlets - usually wouldn't buy them but they looked good. The water feature will go? I thought the sales centre would make a good restaurant when it's all finished with. What's it going to be? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 339Apr 01, 2014 5:58 pm Hi All, havent been on for a while so have taken the time to catch up on everyones bits and pieces and also blogs. We are continuing to wait for council however have our letter for commencement from our bank so that makes us happy. Have taken the time to read some blogs as well- great to see pics. Congrats Renski on the finished project - must be a great feeling. twhjc2014 are you on the high side of Bradley into Bluestone or the lower - have figured out we could possibly be neighbours. Great to see the movement in Binyang - its all happening quickly - one day the diggers then the next a slab, so congrats to those of you building there. Well a short and sweet login, catch up again with everything soon Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 340Apr 01, 2014 6:33 pm Hi all, I asked Jeff what the big sales centre is going to be and he said that they will turn the carpark into someone's backyard and that whole thing will be someone's home. If you drive around to he back of it, you will see there is a garage etc. a shame, a nice coffee hub would be nice! I know there's talk about the town centre for MR but does anyone have proposed timeframe and also what shops will go there? There are scattered responses so just trying to get a solid response. In response to our build, have barely started and am already dreading it lol we were tossing up between a custom and going with wisdom but I think the inclusions in the wisdom are just too value for money as opposed to a small builder so most likely we will be proceeding with them and will pay the $1000 to get the process rolling! Also, is there any news on a proposed school? A day care would also be nice I have a 19mnth and a 5month. I'm asking for abit much aren't i! Wish you all the best.
