They have been great so far! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 587Oct 07, 2014 11:47 am Hi Guys, how long did council take from lodgement to registration? We are 5C, just getting excited Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 588Oct 07, 2014 5:24 pm MGardz Hi Guys, how long did council take from lodgement to registration? We are 5C, just getting excited About 6 weeks Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 589Oct 20, 2014 7:13 pm Hey Guys, we just bought land in Mulgoa Rise in 5C1! So excited! We are now looking for a builder and really like the sounds of Roselea Homes.. Anyone got any feedback? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 590Oct 20, 2014 7:24 pm Hi clearview123 welcome! We bought land in 4B and are building with Eden Brae. I don't have any experience with Roselea homes I'm afraid but good luck with the process. Hopefully we are nearing the end with our paperwork but its a slow process. Can't wait to get foundations and a slab! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 591Oct 20, 2014 8:29 pm Hi All We are officially in council now. Just have to be patient knowing how long it is going to take. Can someone please tell me once council has approved your build, did your builder have to put you back into council for a construction certificate? Anyone had any recent dealings with penrith council timeframes. Wisdom told me anywhere between 6-12 weeks which is mildly depressing. Also - out of curiosity clear view - what are the blocks going for in 5C1? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 592Oct 20, 2014 9:34 pm We bought a 600 for 430k silly us didn't buy back in January as we were indecisive of building or buying a second hand home however with stamp duty and the prices that they are selling for (120k) above reserve n renos we just said stuff it let's build more beneficial! I loved wisdom homes however I was bummed out by their service at the sales offices in Oran park (I think cause my hubby just finished work n looked like a dust ball we didn't get the service) basically just told us here is the book and the prices and when we asked questions we just got told "it's in the book" so perhaps we had a grumpy sales person. Might give them another go. Where r you located lstr123 Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 593Oct 20, 2014 9:37 pm Those that have built before what would be the main questions to be asking? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 594Oct 22, 2014 4:55 am Hi clearview. 600sq is pretty decent size for what's about these days. 430k ouch! But I suppose that's what it cost these days. Yeah I didn't like Oran park. we are building with wisdom also and dealt with colt at the ponds. He is really good!! Lots of questions to ask. I think you sort of learn as you go reading through forums. Just be prepared to be upset about the price 100 times and for it to take forever. Are in in stage 4B. Our block registered about a month ago. It all times pretty well as we bought our block back in April/may. During that time to block registration we only had to pay the deposit. We did everything we can up to bring ready to submit into council so as so soon as it registered we submitted plans. Worked out well with timing and not having to pay interest whilst we go through the admin process with wisdom (super slow) I hear their build timeframes are quick though. Ultimately we liked their design and inclusions. Although we are still spending $170k ish over the base price in upgrades. So depending on how much you want to upgrade, it can still cost a lot. Even with all their inclusions we are still upgrading a lot. Good luck with it all Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 596Nov 13, 2014 7:30 pm Can anyone tell me how roughly how long penrith council will take and if they will delay over much over Christmas? Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 597Nov 15, 2014 6:41 am Melodynche, we found Penrith council really good. Our DA was submitted early Dec 2013 and approved mid Jan 2014. It was between 4-5 weeks. Christmas/NY didn't make any difference. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 598Nov 15, 2014 2:08 pm Thanks kidsbuggingme. It's good to know it hasn't delayed over xmas as we are going to submit our plans to council at the end of next week. Hopefully they can get it through faster as our builder is going to charge us $1000 per month from 15th of December due to land registering late Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 599Nov 23, 2014 4:14 am Hi Melodynche, don't want to disappoint you but our plans took close to 5 months at the penrith council. We just got our approval couple of months ago. So it really depends on application to application. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 600Nov 23, 2014 4:31 am Hi clearview123, we found roselea homes quote bit higher than wisdom homes and some of the other custom home builders for the same size and same upgrades. You should definitely try getting quote from atleast 3-4 builders before you take a decision. Our first experience with wisdom homes was also not very good. But the sales ppl at kellyville seemed to be really good. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you.
