Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 301Mar 22, 2014 10:28 am Me too Dreamhome. They have told us red pegs on Monday then about 7 to 10 days or so before construction begins. Waiting on advice re allocation of SS. How are you doing with your build? We were limiting ourselves to weekly visits to the block but this week we have gone up every second day including at night. Just so happy it is all starting. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 302Mar 22, 2014 11:02 am Wow Sunrise. That's awesome news! You were doing well limiting it to once a week. Definitely more willpower than us... Lol. It is exciting and how good will it be to see something actually on our blocks? I believe my neighbour behind me is also starting shortly so there will be a few of us together! We are due to start on or before 9 April. Our contract is 40 weeks and it will be 37 weeks until Christmas from the 9th. I am hoping they will get us in by Christmas. Let's hope for a good run weather-wise! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 303Mar 22, 2014 11:18 am Dreamhome. Hope the all our builds moves on quickly so we all get in before Christmas. That would be great. We just need to get the house up and weather tight before the winter weather! Our build time is 37 weeks. Eden Brae are building a one story just two doors up from us where we are renting at Glenmore Ridge. They have moved along at a great speed. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 304Mar 23, 2014 10:37 pm Sunrise that's so exciting that you get red pegs!! Not long now. Let me know what SS you get Can't wait for you all to start sharing your builds. Ours is mostly done. Now I'm noticing all the little issues. If they get fixed quickly will good Do you guys know if there is a park being built soon for kids near the proposed ovals? Heard a little whisper one should start next month complete September. Us love to know more details. Was at jacaranda park this morning so peaceful with mountains views it's just gorgeous. I feel so happy when my kids get to play in beautiful parks. There are done bad ones near us at moment that are so filthy. Hate it. Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 305Mar 24, 2014 2:25 pm Hi Renski, I did see in the weekender a whole pic of how the ovals will look! It has 2 parks, a community hall, bike track around the whole thing and 2 ovals! It did say starts April 14 finished by Sept 14! Should be good, there is also some parks and tracks going up around the back of display homes a bit further up you can see some big trees, don't know when though! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 306Mar 24, 2014 7:49 pm Its official we settled on our land in bluestone drive today, finerly own it. Now to get things moving with our new home. Hoping we may be in before Christmas, not holding my breathe though. LoL Congratulations to all that now own there own piece of dirt in mulgoa rise. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 307Mar 24, 2014 7:57 pm Congrats Bluestone65 - we settled today too - very exciting! It was great to drive up there this afternoon and know we actually own out dirt now (had to make sure it wasn't all washed away lol) Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 308Mar 24, 2014 8:16 pm Hi all. We have been red pegged!!!!! Yah Renski sounds like you had a great morning. It is very nice up there. We like it too. I speaking with Jeff from Mulpha who mentioned the parks and ovals. Apparently they delayed the works because of the hot weather. It will make such a difference when finished especially with all the houses going up. Congratulations bluestone65. One step closer to having your home built. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 309Mar 24, 2014 10:11 pm Awesome Sunrise! I've been told Wednesday for ours. Providing the weather is OK! I haven't had any other details. I thought I'd have site supervisor details and a more detailed construction plan by now, so I'm a bit disappointed. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 310Mar 25, 2014 6:57 am Don't be disappointed Airy Fairy. It will happen quickly and everything will be good. We don't have our SS yet either. EB told us a few day. We should have site start date around the same time. How great it will be that ours are going up at the same time! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 311Mar 25, 2014 5:33 pm I saw your red pegs Sunrise! Very exciting. Airy Fairy, it will be soon for you and just think of sipping cocktails in your new home over Christmas... There has been some movement in MR today - three Unicus signs have gone up, our fence has gone up - yay, and another fence was going up on Binyang this afternoon. Hopefully that fence belongs to someone on this forum! We also got the name of our site supervisor and a letter telling us that if our issue isn't urgent, they'll get back to us within three days... Don't know if I am that patient! Any updates on Council? kj? GVGrande? Joe&Jules? Hoping it all happens soon for you!!! Building the Villina Grande Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 312Mar 26, 2014 7:16 am Congratulations on your settlements bluestone65 and twhjc2014! Also sunrise, congratulations on your red pegs and DreamHome, hooray for site supervisor but boo for wait time. Ou settlement is delayed. I spoke with Jeff about it and he said the land is registered but there was an administrative error (which apparently has no effect on the land) which will be fixed soon. Our settlement period is also longer than 14 days due to our lawyer suggesting that so we're probably a month from settling. We're still awaiting first plans so settlement date being later doesn't interfere with build timing, just defers mortgage payments. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 313Mar 26, 2014 8:04 am Congratulations Bluestoner's on your land registrations. We are approved by council and Unicus sign now on our block so not long now. Renski, that must feel so good, knowing you house is almost finished - how exciting Yay Sunrise and Dreamhome - pegs and start dates is great, now things will really start moving. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 314Mar 26, 2014 8:07 am On another note, is anyone interested in starting a Mulgoa Rise walking group - around our beautiful area and on the Mulgoa reserve walking tracks? We could organise several time slots eg, morning and afternoon to cater for different work and family commitments Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 315Mar 26, 2014 4:18 pm So we are off and running - joining the in crowd so to speak lol lol lol - plans in council, everything looking good so far. Fingers crossed for a reasonable turn around from council then the highly anticipated build start date - all very exciting. Sorry Housesformouses that settlement hasn't come as expected - puts a bit of a downer on what should be an exciting time - hopefully its sorted sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed that the up coming activity up in Binyang then Bluestone quickly deters the dumpers - did my usual drive by this afternoon in daylight and saw all the rubbish again dumped in Binyang - frustrating!!! Take care everyone and fingers crossed this weather doesn't hang around too long disrupting everyones building plans. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 316Mar 26, 2014 4:49 pm Walking group is a nice idea joejulesx. When we move out that way (probably a month or two) I would be keen for after work walks and intend to walk to our land frequently (we'll see how long it takes before the Lazies get me). That said, my ideal walking time would probably be a bit late for families. Thanks Ned410 but since we only just got first plans today, we have heaps to do before building can start anyway. I hope council works quickly for you! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 318Mar 26, 2014 10:30 pm Happy to join a walking group. Need to get into better shape ASAP. I was out there today too, Ned and saw the rubbish and graffiti. It's disgusting. I will be taking pictures of it and sending it to the high school, I know they like to know about the different tags and stuff. On a brighter note, we have yellow pegs! Hope everyone's plans go through council quickly. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 319Mar 27, 2014 10:29 pm GV - thanks for that info. Do excited is actually starting soon. The new parks will be great. Congrats in the land settlement bluestoners. Few of you moving along nicely. Can't wait for your builds to start. Red and yellow pegs are exciting. Only people who have built can understand the excitement seeing a red peg brings hehehe This rain would be so frustrating for people who are building I can't understand why oriole have to litter and graffiti things. Some people have no respect. Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 320Mar 28, 2014 7:44 pm Hi all. Am new to the forum. I recently purchased in the last release and am so excited! We purchased on Darug. Jeff told us land registration is running ahead of time and should register mid June Now the tough part, finding a home we love. We have had a look at spec homes and find we love bits and pieces of homes but nothing has swooned us and as such are leaning towards a custom build. I was wandering if anyone had any feedback on their building with unicus homes and also If there is any news on the proposed shopping centre Thanks Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24833 As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining… 0 17878 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 10038 |
