Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 131Jan 06, 2014 12:58 pm Is anyone a little annoyed that their address reads 'Glenmore Park'? I was hoping Mulgoa Rise would be a suburb in its own right. Seems it just like 'Blue Hills' and the other segments of Glenmore Park. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 133Jan 06, 2014 5:42 pm Yes me too. I preferred Mulgoa Rise as the name too. It will be like the other developments. The locals still talk about the area by the name of the releases. We are currently renting close by in Glenmore Ridge. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 134Jan 06, 2014 6:44 pm Sunrise1 Yes me too. Yes I'm familiar with the surrounding regions of Glenmore Park. My partner lives with her parents in Blue Hills just 15mins walk from our block of land. We are always walking up the hill to our block, checking out all the houses in Glenmore Ridge as we go. On another note... the teenagers are getting up in the empty streets of a night and drinking and graffitiing. The big green electrical boxes are all tagged and some of the trees around them have been uprooted. Looks disgusting. Is there anything we can do about this? I drove past one night out of curiousity and there was at least 3 cars parked up the end Bingyang Ave in the makeshift cul de sac. All full of teens. There is also a fair amount of rubbish building up... mainly empty alcohol bottles. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 135Jan 06, 2014 9:09 pm I noticed that in Darug when we went up on Sunday. It looks untidy. We can't really do anything except maybe call the police if they are causing damage and are still around. I have seen the odd patrol car up there in the past (before the fence came down) and they moved a group out of the area who looked like they were up to no good. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 136Jan 07, 2014 6:28 am Happy new year! I am also annoyed about Mulgoa Rise being called Glenmore Park. I much prefer the name Mulgoa Rise. This will now be the third time I've built in "Glenmore Park". We are renting in Glenmore Ridge too. I feel like I am wasting thousands in rent while all the administrative stuff is being done. On a more positive note, I can step out onto my doorstep and see our block of land so that is a nice reminder! Happy buildings and let's hope we can get into our houses before Christmas! Building the Villina Grande Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 137Jan 07, 2014 8:55 am It's a little confusing re the mulgoa rise vs glenmore park names. My land title paper work actually says 'Mulgoa'. I also find it odd that Mulgoa Rise seamlessly connects to Glenmore Ridge. Our block is on Binyang Ave and the other end of the street is Glenmore Ridge. Our builder told us he is hoping to start the first week of February and if all goes to plan be complete by June!! Very excited. Picked all the colours and tiles before Christmas so I can finally visualize what our house will be like! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 138Jan 07, 2014 4:48 pm yes penrith council are idiots, they should have named glenmore park stage 2 as glenmore ridge & mulgoa ridge. Council told me a year ago that the land was always known as mulgoa & all but the rural land would stay as Mulgoa & the new homes will be known as glenmore park. In the 2007 development application it was noted as bradley ridge . The mulgoa rise fountain is to be pulled down after the last block is sold ....for whatever reason. The hoods that are around mulgoa rise have just moved from glenmore ridge to the new streets. We had Graffiti everywhere & they had been kicking over all the retaining walls. they will go away once a few houses start building. I chased some kids off around my house last xmas which only resulted in a brick through my windows. Hopefully the rest of us won't be too far behind I was really hoping that we would stay as Mulgoa at least considering that's what some of the street signs say. It will always be Mulgoa Rise to me lol Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 140Jan 07, 2014 6:05 pm rosewood The hoods that are around mulgoa rise have just moved from glenmore ridge to the new streets. If only we had a few machine guns and ski masks... so does the council end up cleaning the graffiti? Wish you all the best.
