Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 103Nov 21, 2013 5:35 pm Our house has been approved by MR. Hopefully it will go into Council soon! I've been looking at DA Tracker. Some seem to take 14 days and some 6 weeks. We have to go Council over CDC due to the proximity to the boundary. Building the Villina Grande Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 104Nov 22, 2013 7:22 am This is the same reason we want to go with council over CDC. I definitely don't wish to compromise on my floor plan, I would rather wait for few more weeks to get the approval. One of our friend is going through CDC and its almost 3 weeks now and they haven't yet got the approval. So I guess its taking a chance wherever you apply. Masterton were really good with working out how to get the house we wanted (with added alfresco) on the block. I wouldn't want to change my floor plan either. You painstakingly go through the homes and then narrow the houses down to suit what you need. You don't want to forgo something just for going to CDC. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 106Nov 24, 2013 7:46 am I'm just going to give a big shout out to Land sales at MR. They have gone out of their way to assist us at every step and even the submission process of plans has been quick. Building the Villina Grande Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 107Nov 27, 2013 8:40 am We are going for a custom built home. I had drawn my own plan in accordance with Penrith council but now to go with CDC our architect has given us a plan where the main entry is directly into the lounge area and had to get rid of the foyer. With council we need to leave 2m from secondary road and CDC's requirement is 3m. (our's is a corner plot). Not able to decide if should let the foyer go or have it and go with penrith council.
