Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- A big pile of rubbish 81Nov 25, 2013 7:06 pm Ha ha. We left an old wheelbarrow at the block as we were using it to move some sand. It was old and crappy and we didn't care if it got nicked but it was still handy. Our brickies found it right down the back under the trees and started using it. We didn't care as long as they left it behind. They did. In the rubbish skip. Okaaaaay. Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 83Dec 06, 2013 8:56 pm Our roof has started, yay!! Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 85Dec 21, 2013 11:56 pm We have a bit of an issue with the front of the house. It isn't how it should be which is kind of a big deal. We won't know how it will be resolved till after the Christmas break. Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 86Dec 22, 2013 12:40 am Oh that's not good! Sux to have to wait til mid January to get any resolution too. Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 87Dec 22, 2013 1:12 am Ah that is annoying. When I want answers about something I can get really impatient. We have a bit of a similar problem with RI - it's annoying to have to wait! Hope it gets sorted Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 89Dec 22, 2013 9:04 am Whats wrong with it? Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 90Dec 23, 2013 12:52 pm It is a bit wrong. I wont go into it till we find out how it will be resolved but I am hoping the will be professional and just get it done for us. Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- We have roof thingies 91Jan 06, 2014 5:21 pm There is plumbing now with the outside taps in and the connections for inside. The cuts in the bricks have also been done for the electrician. Hows the polished concrete going? Hope your in by now!! Would love to see some pics H1 Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61557 Re: Switch Homes-SOR WA-The Banskia- New photos 98Aug 30, 2014 4:48 pm Not in yet! Practical completion maybe in the middle of next month. We are doing a lot better now we have a good supervisor who has actually stayed on more than a week but he is plagued by issues from a crappy job at prestart and the seven crappy supervisors before him. For example our pier was done in internal brick so we accepted that in exchange for a tap behind the fridge but when the house was rendered it was still marked as face brick and wasn't rendered. Just was well as it got damaged by the electrician and half of it has now fallen over. We also had our scullery benchtop made wrong. When they tried to put a piece in to fix it it looked super crappy plus they chipped the edge of the essastone so now we need a whole new top. Oh and the sinks were in and the splashbacks tiled in so it is a huge job to fix sigh. It is looking really good though. I think it is going to be amazing but it has taken over 18 months and that does take a bit of the shine off it. Love the photos Hi Everyone I learned something this week that I thought would be worth sharing. In NSW a lot of developers of subdivisions put covenants on the land which normally… 0 4996 Very common on rendered homes Smaller suppliers get the lower quality raw materials 6 9058 4 9385 |
