Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 148Aug 29, 2014 9:24 pm Woohoo! Congrats on the delivery! Fingers crossed they don't have any trouble booking in your brickies like they did with us (apparently they booked in a few but they got higher price elsewhere and bailed!) Very exciting now you can see it all happen! Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 150Aug 30, 2014 7:10 pm Thanks Salsaby and cupcakes! We are in the 'lull zone' now waiting for a brickie to start- in the mean time we have had pad height prepped for our shed and the shed has been delivered Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66620 Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 151Aug 30, 2014 7:20 pm And some pics Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ A friend and I went out to Pinjarra recently for Tea and scones, the place we were at gave me some great inspiration for our place the bricks are nearly the same texture and colour, this building was built in 1888. It still has some roast hook thingies too on the sides, but it has had a cast iron fireplace added somewhere in the past. If that is the look you're going for I'm going to be in love with your house! Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 153Aug 31, 2014 2:10 pm That is really' old world' speedway. Do you like the door frame or the render, or both? I think they call that quoining? My fella would say the most important thing has arrived...the SHED!!! At one point he was going to put our latest one partially in front of the house! Like that was gonna happen!! Looks like a good size- are you having colorbond to match your roof or zincalume? I will cross my fingers for express brickies! Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 154Aug 31, 2014 5:29 pm Haha Rache - can just picture a shed in front of your house! I will cross my fingers for express brickies! The bricks looked very similar in colour and texture to what i have chosen, I would have absolutely died to get that door frame and 'quoining' but I'm sure the builder would have loved the charge me for it too Yes he was very excited and chatty about the shed, he has just left to go back to work for nine days (ah rest my ears, now I know how he felt when I was all chatty about the house ) heres hoping something will be done shed wise by the time he gets back he has selected a ride on lawnmower he would like to purchase just needs the shed finished to put it in there The shed has the same colour as the roof all Woodland Grey Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66620 Re: Building with Gemmill in Serpentine:we have bricks! 158Sep 03, 2014 10:06 pm Oh, forgot to add that we had a call from the builder on Monday the bricklayers should start at the end of this week start of next, Gemmill have been on the money so far with their timelines Im really hoping this continues.
