Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 101Aug 28, 2014 4:59 pm Wow now I am really confused. Checking what you have said, It says 4/11/2013. It also says when I check plan details the council approved it on 12/9/2013. I have to be reading something wrong maybe? But when I check all our documents and things from conveyancer it says it's unregistrered. So confused. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 102Aug 28, 2014 5:50 pm I won't have time tonight but if you did want to PM me through the DP number, I'll have a check on the LPI and council sites tomorrow and let you know my thoughts. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 103Aug 28, 2014 7:00 pm Thanks a lot for that. I will PM you later tonight, because it's doing my head in. I never realised with 2 kids how hard it was going to be. I guess I will reflect back after it's all done and have a laugh. Thanks a lot! Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 105Sep 25, 2014 3:23 pm So today I decided to ring australand and than the council about my block at vantage point. To start Australand said they thought it was already registered and they would get back to me. Still no reply. So I rang council and they informed me that it is still not registered and there is still some things that need doing. Seeing the land all done with street signs to even the laneways is rather annoying. So I asked what needs doing and they told me this; "The works are only of a minor nature – the main items are certificates from the service authorities and various payments." Very annoying considering registration was supposed to be August and even Australand had no idea. I wish there was a way to hurry them up What could the certificates be though any idea? Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 106Sep 25, 2014 3:53 pm Sorry aspiring - I saw your PM but then it totally slipped my mind. Glad the council was able to shed some light but I'm sure all you want to do is just get started. Hope its not too far away http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 107Sep 25, 2014 4:07 pm Haha not a problem. I still don't understand that lpi website as it says registered lol. Yeah I really do. And I think the real annoying part is having Australand tell me it's registered and than say will get back to me but don't. Regardless I am sure council is right and just hope that they get their stuff together so I can get this build started! From what council tells it is minor things but I just want it done and I am now looking at least another 2 months until registration. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 108Sep 25, 2014 4:24 pm Ouch two months. Who are you building with and does your tender price stay the same if you still have to wait? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 109Sep 30, 2014 2:50 pm Yeah. We are building with everyday homes, and tender should be the same in the timeframe given by council. However Australand has gotten back to me today and the man responsible for the development of the land tells me it is 110% registrered. He said he was looking at the papers as I was talking to him and is even going to send them out to me to have a copy of. I read out some emails from council and he has no idea what they mean as it is registrered, so he will also be chasing council up to see what they are talking about, as he thinks we should be able to start building, as again he even.has all forms saying it is registrered. I really just want to.get to the bottom of this and start my build or at least find out what is going on. How could he have the forms saying it's registrered and sending them out to me, saying all we should need is DA approval for our home construction , but council says actual land is not registrered yet. So frustrating. But he was very nice and also very helpful. Can't wait to.get these forms and hear what council has to say when.he gets back to me. I also did a drive by yesterday and noticed that they have now painted the lot numbers on the curbs and now have all street signs in. Funny has the laneway near is called Auld Lane, yet off of Hilder street is Auld Street, and it is literally a couple hundred meters away.
