Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 09, 2013 10:45 am This may be a long shot but I've bought in a small development of around 25 blocks in Dengate Close Elderslie, wanting to know if any of my future neighbours are scouring this site or perhaps even some from just up the road in the Australand or Camden Heights development? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 2Sep 20, 2013 7:15 am An update and a bit of a bump - our docs have just been lodged for registration and land is due to be titled in about 4 weeks. From the first release there are already a few builds that have started. Be keen to hear your experiences with your builders and council etc thus far. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 4Sep 23, 2013 9:08 pm If you know your DP number you can follow your land's progress to registration through here: https://shop.lpi.nsw.gov.au/wps/portal/ ... lan-status http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 5Oct 11, 2013 8:40 am Just checked the lpi website. Land has been registered now just need to wait for the phone call from the conveyancer as to when to draw up the check. Has camden heights blocks been registered too? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 7Oct 12, 2013 7:05 am Hi Jamie. Have you chosen a builder yet? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 8Oct 13, 2013 9:06 am I have a tender from coral homes with a design I really like but I have not signed with them yet. Still awaiting the soil and surveying reports. Crownland developers didn't want to allow any soil testing to be completed until after the land was registered which is a bit of a pain because Coral wouldn't do a tender until they know what they are getting into. But it's all sorted now and something should be finalised next week. Just need the land to be registered so we can start. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 9Oct 13, 2013 2:05 pm There's a lot to like about the coral homes. I think we were looking at the marcoola (or something like that) a couple years ago. 600mm eaves, solar power and timber finish floors were some of things I really liked plus they were able to provide really detailed estimates. Which design are you looking at? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 10Oct 13, 2013 3:17 pm Looking at the bribie 26 as it has everything I want and nothing more. Such as, master bedroom at the front of the house with the other rooms towards the back, a theater room, an alfresco and a very open plan kitchen/living area. It also has a study nook which will be perfect for me to use without turning a bedroom into a study or by putting the computer in the kitchen/living room which seems to be coming popular. I have extended a room from 3x3.3 to 4x4.5 for the media room. It will only be my fiance and myself living there. After looking around, Coral were able to provide everything I wanted at a good price and the sales guy at homeworld south was great. With the upgrades and level of inclusions I would say the Coral estimate thus far is about 20k cheaper than the Eden Brae and probably 40k cheaper than Mcdonald Jones. Have you settled on a builder yet? Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 11Oct 13, 2013 4:07 pm Hi Jamie88, We are actually renting at Camden Acres just in front of Camden Height and are in the process of building at Vantage point. We have signed for building with Coral a Noosa 279 modified. At the moment we are waiting for the tender to be finalised. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 12Oct 13, 2013 4:16 pm Good luck with both your builds. As mentioned I did like the Coral inclusions but have accepted a tender with Rawson, we're building the Metford 28 which is pretty much as displayed at homeworld but have added an extra bathroom. We expect to get our check plans in the next few weeks and have been finalising our external selections recently. Once we have those and the final plans we go to council and then start selecting internal colours and around the same time sign the build contract. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 13Oct 14, 2013 6:53 pm Sukarabikun, my partner and I were close to purchasing in Vantage point. Very nice area. How far are they off registration? When we looked at the land the vantage point people said they would be ready in october and Camden Heights said end of july. It factored into my decision making but here we are in october with neither registered. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 14Oct 14, 2013 7:58 pm Jamie88, Just received an email from Australand today to apologise. They sent us an email stating that our land is registered, 2 weeks ago but finally told us today that it was a mistake... Lots 40xx are registered but not lots 30xx like mine. Yours is not neither? I'm now getting a little bit concerned that the delay could be more than just 1 month for us too. The choice of Vantage point, compared to Camden heights was mainly the walking distance to Elderslie High otherwise we liked it too. Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 15Oct 16, 2013 8:18 am Robbie 55, we are in the similar boat as you. We are building in camden heights, have had our tender presentation and awaiting our plans. We are still awaiting land registration, hopefully not to much longer Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 16Oct 16, 2013 10:06 am Hi Palms Have they said when they expect to get your plans back to you? Our PCA is now on leave but we've been told to expect it on 4/11/13 but don't know if I can wait that long. In the meantime I've been going through the selections folder that was sent. I think I'm pretty OK with the external colours but will need some help with the internals. Also couldn't really find anything in the standard brick range so will stump up an extra $4k for the Concord bricks from PGH. Is anyone keen to share their external colour choices? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 17Oct 17, 2013 8:37 am Hi Jamie 88, We are also building in camden heights. What lot are you? We are 40. Robbie55, we havent heard a thing about when land registering. I read your posts on niches, we are using one for our tv to be mounted in and the other as a drop down in the kitchen with down lights over the bench. We have a fair idea of colours both internally and externally but havent settled on anything yet as we are so far away from anything starting. Getting abit frustrated Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 18Oct 17, 2013 11:59 am Hi Palms and all awaiting registration - ask your conveyancer for the DP number for your lot. It might be on the contract but for some reason some do change when they lodge it to LPI but your conveyancer should know the correct one, then you can use the link above to follow its progress. The site can be a bit frustrating too EG we were told our DP was 12/1234567 I searched this for ages and kept on the getting the message "document not held" or "name too long" - you need to actually enter "dp1234567" for it to come up with any result, if you have any questions let me know. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Anyone building in Elderslie, Camden Heights or Australa 20Oct 18, 2013 7:36 pm robbie55 Hi Palms and all awaiting registration - ask your conveyancer for the DP number for your lot.
