I've read the manual and looked online but I can only find info about when it's turned on. Re: Aveling build in Carramar - Instantaneous hot water sys 302Dec 19, 2013 2:10 pm Hey 3munkeys,, from what I understand about these systems, if you have temperature controllers fitted, then at least one of them must be on in order for there to be hot water. We are getting controllers fitted when ours are installed, and will always leave the ensuite controller on. I don't think they would draw all that much power anyway (just for a couple of glowing lights) when not actually in use. Without controllers fitted, the hot water will just come out at max temperature. Oh my what a roller coaster of a ride you have had but I'm so glad you are in!!! We drive past your place probably every second day now!! We're nearly at lock up! Just had all ceilings and cornices done last week, really happy with everything so far!! Can't wait to see your final pics! We will definitely take you up on your offer to check out your feature wall colour in real life when we get a bit closer to that stage Take care, Sarah Re: Aveling build in Carramar - Instantaneous hot water sys 305Jan 17, 2014 10:41 am Could I also ask who did your side gate/fence? It's exactly what we want. Any chance you could let me know the approx cost? Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 306Jan 24, 2014 3:53 pm Quick question, Can you tell me if you got the standard Cosmo caroma toilet, I upgraded mine as I wanted no plastic, to the stylus Venecia. Mine has plastic so I'm not sure if I didn't upgrade correctly or if they installed the wrong toilet. I have tried comparing them online but they look quiet similar. http://www.stylus.com.au/products/toile ... ilet-suite http://www.caroma.com.au/bathrooms/toil ... ilet-suite I think I have the Cosmo installed as I do have the groove at the bottom of the toilet as in the Cosmo pic, in the Venecia pic there is not groove. Help please. Hi wildwood, I used Krom fencing, it cost just under 2k, about 1,960 for memory. That came with a lock. There was a bit of trouble as they provided me with two quotes. They came out to install the wrong fence, so there was a bit of a delay but they got it right eventually. Congrats on lock up Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 307Jan 24, 2014 4:53 pm You should be able to tell pretty easily. The Venecia is a wall faced toilet so the whole toilet, not just the cistern should be installed against the wall. The Caroma one is not, therefore there would be a gap from the back of the toilet pan to the wall as shown on their website. Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 308Jan 24, 2014 6:08 pm Thanks dukecaddy. Looks like mine is the caroma Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 309Jan 24, 2014 6:13 pm Thanks Jess, hope you got the toilet issue sorted!! Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 310Jan 24, 2014 6:47 pm We had the caroma one as standard and the cistern is plastic. We upgraded to a different caroma which has a ceramic cistern but still has dodge plastic seat! Re: Aveling build in Carramar - toilet question? 311Feb 11, 2014 9:58 am These toilets are an issue... I'm struggling to figure them out, my spec from Aveling says Caroma Stirling toilet but I can't see that toilet in their prestart folder, and I don't really like it, but now I'm not sure what what is an upgrade or what isn't. Do they have all the toilets for you to physically look at at prestart? Did they change them for you? My Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64881 Re: Aveling build in Carramar - other aveling builds questio 313Apr 21, 2014 12:59 pm Just wondering with the aveling builds, did you get pvc piping under your driveway for retic as part of the package or was it an extra. I didn't ask but my plan shows it's there but I can't find it? Sorry day dreaming missed your post, they came in and redid the whole kitchen I the gloss Re: Aveling build in Carramar - other aveling builds questio 314Apr 21, 2014 11:36 pm Our piping was in the package (as it is a developer requirement) but they took it out when we took out the driveway paving. We will have to put it in ourselves when we get our driveway done. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have screws pushing through the ceiling, probably over 60 in total. And more just keep on appearing, the ones that showed first pushed through the plaster and poked right out of the celling. They have been re screwed back in. But more are still appearing. Also in my living room area I can see lines running across my ceiling, like the beams or something (it's not called beams though). The builder does not want to fix this as they say it's in tolerance. In this area is where about 40 screws are showing. I'm wondering if the two are related. Anyone else have this issue? Re: Aveling build in Carramar - 6 month maintenance question 319Aug 17, 2014 12:21 pm When you can see nail head its called nail pops. We had ours fixed they bascially just put plaster or something over that patch, sand it and paint it we only had about 8 total Re: Aveling build in Carramar - 6 month maintenance question 320Aug 17, 2014 3:10 pm If it was a few I wouldn't be to worried, but there is just so many of them. I have found at least another 20 in my living area, that would bring it up to 60plus in one room Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17609 You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 9960 |
