Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Aveling build in Carramar 21Aug 01, 2013 11:38 pm Just finished reading your thread, so excited to watch your progress! It's exciting to finally see a plan similar to mine in the making... I am using essa promenade in my ensuite, but as you're way ahead of me, I guess I'll be seeing it here first My Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64881 Re: Aveling build in Carramar 22Aug 01, 2013 11:58 pm yea, saw someone else's version of our house with a spa, kind of regret that we didn't put one in. ah well, next time Re: Aveling build in Carramar 23Aug 02, 2013 6:12 pm Plastering completed today

I am loving the house though Janice, you can always do an outside spa Re: Aveling build in Carramar 25Aug 02, 2013 8:29 pm We liked one by Blueprint that had a similar kitchen, though without essastone, but it was priced higher and didn't have a spa in the ensuite and the biggest thing that turned us off was the salesman was way too pushy and seemed to imply that we owed him for coming out to see us!! My Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64881 Re: Aveling build in Carramar 26Aug 02, 2013 8:33 pm I love all of the feature niches you have managed to get into the bathrooms! Will be so handy and look so classy It starts to really feel like a house once you get the render on the walls and the ceilings! Re: Aveling build in Carramar 27Aug 02, 2013 10:20 pm Day dreaming, there were a couple of Blueprint homes that I liked with similar kitchens too, I found that their display version specs where similar to other builders standard specs and it was overpriced. There were a few builders I like and one I would have signed with but the salesman started bagging other building companies, if your building company is so good then there is not need to bag others, the product speaks for itself. Thanks kat, I love niches, hate putting bottles on the floor of the shower, now I won't have too yes defiantly looking more like a home, cant wait for the ceiling Re: Aveling build in Carramar 28Aug 07, 2013 11:22 pm Went past today, nothing has been done since Friday Re: Aveling build in Carramar 30Aug 08, 2013 8:51 am I purposely didn't look so I would get a nice surprise, thought most of the ceiling would have been done, 3 days feels like allot of time to have no one there, hope mid October is still achievable Re: Aveling build in Carramar 31Aug 08, 2013 1:21 pm This weather sucks. My brickies have only been able work 2 days this week. If wasn't rain would be finished by weekend. But you have a roof no idea what their excuse is Re: Aveling build in Carramar 32Aug 08, 2013 4:18 pm 2 days out of three in this weather doing bricks is pretty good. As long as the house is ready when they say then I guess it's ok, I just really look forward to seeing things happen, guess we all do. Re: Aveling build in Carramar 33Aug 08, 2013 11:12 pm We have a roof on and only had 1 day of work this week! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Aveling build in Carramar 34Aug 09, 2013 2:08 pm Nothing all week don't know what the reason is when there's a roof Re: Aveling build in Carramar 35Aug 16, 2013 12:56 pm Do you have to complain and constantly hassle builders to actually make sure they are on top of things End of rant Re: Aveling build in Carramar 36Aug 19, 2013 3:11 pm Re: Aveling build in Carramar 37Aug 19, 2013 4:22 pm Starts to look more like a house now hey! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Aveling build in Carramar 38Aug 19, 2013 8:48 pm Yeah it's getting there, they confired mid October still so fingers crossed Re: Aveling build in Carramar 39Aug 20, 2013 11:49 am The house is looking really great, munkeys We're at almost exactly the same stage as you (white set and cornices started this week, already have windows, and front render has been done), yet we were told by Aveling that we'd be looking at early to mid November....huh? What gives?! Either that or they are giving me false hope Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17628 You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 9971 |
