I was just wondering who your ss was? He sounds fantastic! Might have to make a request Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 243Nov 09, 2013 6:41 pm LOVE your colours, feature walls look fab! Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 244Nov 10, 2013 10:51 pm Hi aradnell, his name is Bruce, fantastic man, can't praise him enough. Thanks Janice Painting is finished, floors have been delayed, was spoked to start tomorrow and instead it's Wednesday. But they are doubling the team to make up for lost time. Starting to notice more things wrong with the house although the painter told me he thought it was built quiet well, seeing he paints allot of new homes that is good news to hear. Painter used was john slane painting, from gum tree. I treied to google reviews but couldn't find any. They did a great job, very happy with the job, finished quick too and a great price Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 245Nov 10, 2013 11:39 pm Looking lovely!! Not long now We noticed quite a few things once we moved in, thankfully most have been rectified Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 246Nov 10, 2013 11:55 pm Oh good, fmac, I hope they do rectify ours. I've noticed that at the back of the toilet they have not tiled a small area, so I hope that gets fixed. Nail heads are showing on our ceiling, cracks under the partico, under the overhead cupboards there are big cracks where the cabinet meets the wall. All my doors have what i can only describe as sand grains in The paint. A chipped area on my laundry bench but I'm sure they will blame that on me. Unfortunately at PCI there were so many issues with our kitchen that we didn't get to look anywhere else and they changed our meeting time from 9:00am to 3:00 and we still had to pick up the keys that day. Lesson learnt I guess. Can't wait to see the floors go in. The pics of the paint don't do it justice, it turned out better than I could have imagined Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 247Nov 11, 2013 12:10 am Just send an email to your CL and say you want to let them know about the issues but are happy for them to be fixed at 6 months and see how they respond Our kitchen tap is leaking so waiting to see what happens with that! They came and retiled some of our ensuite shower as we weren't happy. Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 248Nov 11, 2013 12:15 am Ok will do, thanks. Did you manage to get the stain removed from your driveway? I hope they fix the essa stone for you. Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 249Nov 11, 2013 10:52 am We ended up getting a friend out who took out the stained pavers and replaced them with leftovers. We've borrowed a high pressure cleaners and were going to clean the pavers and get the, sealed, hopefully this weekend or next Re: Aveling build in Carramar - painting - feature wall pics 250Nov 12, 2013 7:49 am Painting looks fab, love the combo of the colours Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 251Nov 13, 2013 8:52 pm Very happy with the look of my floor but unfortunately it's being over shadowed by all the scratches they have made on my painted walls. Anyone else had this issue? Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 252Nov 13, 2013 9:50 pm Pics of the flooring, started today and they will be completed tomorrow. Sorry to hear they scratched yr beautifully painted walls. My Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64881 Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 256Nov 13, 2013 10:33 pm I've heard few people mention scratched up walls but usually carpet areas. Your floors look lovely Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 257Nov 13, 2013 10:50 pm Thanks everyone, I'm really happy with them, when we picked the colour it was about the size of an a4 piece of paper so it was hard to picture it but I love it. Just really upset about my walls, the painter did such a great job, after all that time and effort for people to come and ruin it makes me want to cry. Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 258Nov 13, 2013 10:52 pm Perhaps ask painter come fix it and send floor people the bill haha Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 259Nov 13, 2013 11:03 pm Well I'm not going to pay them until it's fixed. Not only that but the installer asked of I wanted to pay an extra $25.00 a square meter so I don't have gaps around the edges, you would think that would be included in the price or at least I would be told about it before hand, seems like another way to make more money. Building is such a roller coaster of emotions, it can go from feeling so high to so low all in one day. Gates go in tomorrow. Was very happy with the crossover, price was good. Re: Aveling build in Carramar walls scratched by flooring cr 260Nov 13, 2013 11:17 pm Hang in there monkey. Like you said its a roller coaster Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 18294 You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 10083 |
