Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2302Apr 20, 2016 9:27 am Is there anybody here who as built the Sonata 13 - 4 bed + media? We picked the Sonata because we liked the floorplan, particularly the openness of the family/dining/kitchen area. Does it feel spacious in real life? We would love to see some photos of the home if anybody is willing to share. Because there are no displays, the photos Allworth have are minimal. Have been searching the net but haven't had much luck. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2303Apr 20, 2016 9:35 am TimK Is there anybody here who as built the Sonata 13 - 4 bed + media? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2304Apr 20, 2016 9:38 am jess_93 Melb01 Jess I was told a date about 4 weeks out. The ss looked at his calendar and what had to be finished with me and he added a few days of fudge factor and that date stayed the same the whole time. Sanc I would have thought they would need to consult you on a whole change of location. I would question that. I wouldn't be happy with that. Well I called site supervisor today and told me dates he had booked for carpet and the day after they had to do the silicone for bathrooms or something and we can do hand over the next day which will be the 13th May So close Jess. Once you are in you forget how long the wait was. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2305Apr 20, 2016 9:46 am Melb01 jess_93 Melb01 Jess I was told a date about 4 weeks out. It takes 3 weeks for them to be made so I'll just have to deal with it lol Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2306Apr 20, 2016 9:47 am Had a call from the site supervisor about my hot water tank. Rheem don't make the unit I was quoted on anymore and the new unit needs more space than the old one. I miss out by 80mm. I'm seriously unhappy with this but there's nothing at all that can be done. The one thing I wanted with this house was a backyard free of any crap. All the fighting for the move of the rainwater tank is for naught since I now have a big bloody hot water tank there instead. That would be very upsetting, sorry Sanc. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2309Apr 20, 2016 1:29 pm Hi guys To-day is 21 days after signing contract, still waiting waiting waiting!! Our consultant said 2-3 weeks in head office (haha!), we are currently on week 6 and still nothing I haven't recorded exactly how long it took but it was much longer than we expected. It wasn't 2 - 3 weeks that's for sure Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2314Apr 20, 2016 4:04 pm It's 20 working days unfortunately farm harmony which takes you out to the 28th. Your Authority to Commence Construction has been issued yes? Pretty sure my first plans (deposit confirmation) took 5 weeks. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2315Apr 20, 2016 8:13 pm We have signed the final construction plan,if that is what you mean? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2316Apr 20, 2016 8:49 pm If you've been issued Construction Plans then you should be all good. The plans should've included the kitchen plans and been accompanied with something saying "acknowledge receipt of Authority to Commence Construction on <date>". It's 20 working days from the date of them receiving the authority to commence. Disregard if you're paying fully in cash. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2317Apr 20, 2016 9:15 pm Yep the kitchen plans were included & this is the latest info from Allworth : I have placed your file with our construction team – they will be in touch very shortly to give you advice regarding the work beginning out on site. This message was sent yesterday. so Just have to wait some more Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2318Apr 20, 2016 9:16 pm farm harmony Ours took about 6 weeks. another 1 week wait for appointment to sign contract which was the 30/03/15 Supposed to be 21 day's from then to start of our build which is to-day but all is quiet on our block I just get the feeling Allworth are dragging ours out for what ever reason, You could be treated different?? Hopefully you'll have better luck than us. Our SS stuffed us around and while I can't remember exactly what date we went to site, our piering was done over a month after our contract start date. They also tried to claim 2 of those weeks to wet weather which was a joke! We're in and settled. Still waiting on a fence and turf, but our driveway is finished!
