Still waiting for our stacker doors to be delivered which is having a flow on effect to everything else. My shed's getting a roof today though. Fingers crossed the door doesn't hold you up too long Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2784Mar 02, 2017 1:26 pm zowiec Final inspection booked for Monday 6th march. Anyone know how long after this handover normally happens? I can't answer your question but curious about your build time? Is it getting close to the end of the contract timeframe or do you think they're ahead of schedule? So 330 today they cancel handover that was supposed to be 830 monday morning with no date in site that its been postponed to, only "when they have the paperwork". To say im angry would be an understatement. As far as build time goes Monday brings us to 19weeks Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2788Mar 28, 2017 10:49 am Things have been progressing well lately. Tiler started yesterday, we're really happy with the quality of all the work done so far. The expected completion date is 24/4 and it seems to me they're well on track to deliver. When do you get the occupation certificate? I assume it comes after handover but does it take long and do I have to have a driveway completed before I can get it? How as your overall experience been with allworth so far? Al Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2790Mar 29, 2017 10:27 am TimK Things have been progressing well lately. Following moving in my big advice is check your paint/plasterwork with lights on if you can before handover. We organised DLs after handover and now that they are in you can see how terrible the paint work is. Also only half of our insulation is rolled out so check that too Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2791Apr 19, 2017 2:24 pm HELP PLEASE!! Started this building process 3 years ago and after 2 years with Council and a Land Subdivision we are now ready to build. We are building the original Harmony, when we started this process that is all there was! We were offered Casear Stone benchtops if we signed our tender back in 201 3 by a certain date... 3 years on and now we are no longer being offered this as it doesn't fit in with their builder margin. Even though it is in writing in the tender as INCLUDED.... Anyone else experienced a similar problem and able to please provide guidance? Many thanks!! Hopefully things speed up now for you. I doubt there's much you can do apart from paying more to get your stone tops. A tender isn't a contract and in 3 years it's probably fair enough that some things will have to change. A lot of the delay would have been outside their control. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2795May 03, 2017 9:48 pm The upgrade for just the shaker style profiles on everything was about 5.5k and then another 1k to do drawers instead of cupboards either side of the stove and then we got 40mm Cesarstone in a standard colour was another 5k or so. All up we upgraded our kitchen about 16k once you add undermount sink, appliances, fridge cupboard etc. Pretty happy with the result. Sorry I dont have a finished picture with splash and appliances but can take one if your interested? Ps. Not sure if it helps but those prices were via Timpelle kitchens in July16 Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2796May 21, 2017 7:53 pm Hi everyone I put in a quotation request today for the Avalon 4 Living. We'll be building in the Shoalhaven. Just wondering if anyone could tell me what their kitchen and electrical allowances were? And how far they got you in upgrades? Just trying to gauge if we've allocated enough or not Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 2797May 21, 2017 7:57 pm kimbl0 Hi everyone I put in a quotation request today for the Avalon 4 Living. Went over with the kitchen but it's got a lot of upgrades and electrical was spot on - again with a lot of upgrades. We've allocated the same amounts and the kitchen is what I was most concerned about. We're wanting to have mostly drawers in the kitchen and get a nice big island bench, plus fit out the laundry as well. We're also making the walk in pantry bigger. With electrical I have no idea, but we're not planning too much. Mostly just some down lights in the main living spaces, some extra Ethernet/tv points, power points, and a few pendant lights. We've finally decided on Allworth for our build and will be building a modified Harmony 13 Entertainer around St Georges basin, just getting our second tender done. Finance is sorted and our land settles on the 20th this month and is already registered in a pre existing area but an empty block so we are excited and ready to get the ball rolling Who is building with Allworth Homes 2800Jun 07, 2017 9:51 am aphsta Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.
