We went back to check it out in the afternoon and it was almost all finished! Hats of to them seeing as it topped over 41 degrees here yesterday! It's amazing how much bigger all the rooms look now they have walls and ceilings! I will post some photos when I go back and take some. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1970Nov 21, 2015 7:37 pm Good news Jetso, Sounds like the worst is over, We are in the wait wait wait situation, Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1971Nov 23, 2015 10:37 am Does anyone know if the build plans from Allworth to Council are sent electronically or snail mail ? seams our plans go to Council this week, have asked the power's that be twice now but they don't seam to know. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1973Nov 23, 2015 11:36 pm I was suggested by Allworth to pay the final payment on or before 9th December, but the completion date is 15 December. That means I have to pay the final payment use my money then ask the bank to reimburse to my saving account after the completion date. Their reasons is to make the handover happen mid December, before Christmas break. So there is still possibility to install the appliances. Did anyone experience similar situation like this? The slowest of snail mails. Mine was apparently sent late last month and only just got into the council system last Friday. You would think it would feel smaller. Can anyone tell me how long it is before the frames go up after laying the slab? I am very excited about the next stage. I assumed someone might have gone into council and handed it over. That's what our last builder did but he was just a small builder. You would think this day and age electronic would be the way to go Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1978Nov 24, 2015 12:08 pm farm harmony SancHarmoney Thank you for your answer I would have expected electronic submission, Bad time of year for post xmas,We also have to do a demolition but only once the new build has been passed, We took the DA for demolition to Council ourselves, next day it was on DA tracking 4 weeks later it was approved, was so simple, I've given up all hope of getting a contract signed this year with the delays on the DA side. That will cost me $5k in the reduction of the First Home Owner's Grant And of course extra mortgage payments for my patch of dirt sitting there doing nothing. Looks like we're both on target to be starting at around the same time. Looks like we're both on target to be starting at around the same time. That is so frustrating! Fingers crossed for a miracle. I visited today and waterproofing was being done. Apparently tiling, kitchen and bathrooms are booked soon so you never know. Hubby has picked up a few issues like cracked mortar with loose brickwork in the garage, a window panel that is crooked and a nice hole in the slab which looks like might've been an air pocket. Our SS was very understanding when we told him about these. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 76590 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
