Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1442Jun 08, 2015 10:56 pm We decided to drive all the way to Narellan to do our electrical plans in person and it was well worth it. At the office they have an interactive program that you can see all your plans on a huge screen, so it really makes it all come to life. Charlene was lovely and super helpful. We used to live up there so we made a day of it. I would recommend going there if it is possible...obviously not everyone can though. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1443Jun 08, 2015 11:03 pm [quote="Cameron32"]Currently they have promotion, $8999 Installed with $300 Cashback plus Free WI-FI control Air condition. Anyone know how good is Mitsubishi brand? Not sure about Mitsubishi, but if I remember they have two companies, one with heavy industry and one is electrical. Better to confirm from an electrician. I would go with a Diaken or Fujitsu inverter Air con. If you go to few shops and ask the brand, you might get some feedback from sales person. It is only 25 km from my place and it was worth it. After the appointment we did few changes the same day and rest over next few days. Finally sent them the final ones in email after signing. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1445Jun 08, 2015 11:58 pm I agree, it's better to come to their office. Their interactive software is really good, very helpful and you can see your electrical plan on big screen TV. At the end of meeting Charlene will tell you the total amount. Spoke to sales guys, actron looks better, more energy efficient and bit expensive. May be we go with daikin. I spoke to my friend few months back about Actron as most of the builders use that. He was like its an OK brand, but not great as Diaken or Fujitsu. As I said earlier, go with the latest inverter technology to save on electricity bills and more zones. With 4 Bedroom, my friend suggested to go for a small 7 KW air con. Check on that as well if you want a big air con the the bare minimum. The reason being, we wont ever be using all zones ( living and bedrooms ) together. If you like fancy and cheap, Samsung is selling like hot cakes and have that control from you mobile thingy as well. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1448Jun 09, 2015 11:27 am Four bedrooms plus media room, how many zone ideally? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1450Jun 09, 2015 1:12 pm BlessingStar Four bedrooms plus media room, how many zone ideally? 4 zones would be ok. Generally it is 2 zones you use. One is living,Kitchen with media and other bed rooms. You cannot run one zone alone as that would create too much air noise from one outlet and pressure on the air con. That is a limitation of ducted air con as whole plant is running and it will run minimum outlets to be open to throw air. That is a limitation of ducted air con as whole plant is running and it will run minimum outlets to be open to throw air. If you go with actron(12-16Kw), can run single outlet at a time. It's the only brand having lower energy consumption(1.7kw) when you run one zone, other all the brands minimum energy consumption is around 6KW on one zone, so you definately run minimum of 2 areas otherwise feel too noisy. Go with 4 zones, that's our plan Kitchen/living/dining- 3 outlets- zone 1 Media-1 outlet- zone 2 Master/bed2- 1 outlet each- zone 3 Bed3/bed4- 1 outlet each- zone 4 Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1452Jun 09, 2015 2:29 pm Cameron32 If you go with actron(12-16Kw), can run single outlet at a time. I would research more during after my built. I was told that ducted ones have single unit giving all the cooling and once that is running, it will have a bare minimum power which it cannot go beyond a certain point and that is the reason ducted air cons would always draw more energy compared to split air cons. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1455Jun 10, 2015 3:20 pm We got out final invoice amount yetsterday and our handover is booked for Monday the 15th. Due to my bank not having branches in NSW and we are running out of time to be out of our old place (the 26th) I have send the payment request to the bank to pay Allworth straight into their bank account. Hopefully they pull their finger out and transfer the final funds before monday so we can get the keys on the day. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1456Jun 12, 2015 3:35 pm We had our pci with wayne today. Nothing major, mostly paint touch ups. Afew other little things. The carpets get done tomorrow. Im hoping the bank will sort the payment out for keys tuesday but i think thats wishful thinking. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1457Jun 12, 2015 9:54 pm Well the certifier was suposed to get our ocupational cirtificate today but he cancelled. We won't be getting our keys now on Monday because the bank needs the cirtificate before they will release the final payment. Also looks like the left over pallet of bricks has been taken to the tip, even after specifically calling the SS and asking what happens with them and him telling me they will be left for us. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1458Jun 13, 2015 5:47 am Thats annoying zook. Do you know when they are coming back. My guy wouldnt cone on the day i wanted because it didnt suit him. I had to wait 3 days till he was in my area. We have yet another set back. The council inspected the septic pipework the day it was done and have said we need to have grass/trees in the area. We had a bobcat there on the weekend to clear all the grass because thats what we had to do for the people to put the pipework in. Now council is saying we cant move in till its rectified. Its frustrating because who is going to turf it the day the pipes get put in. I am calling the council on monday... Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1459Jun 13, 2015 5:55 am Tin28a isnt it stupid some of the rediculous guidelines set by councils. To think some of the * renervations going on around the place and they won't let you move in till there is grass around your septic tank. The guy is suposed to be coming on monday but that we still need to get the paperwork to the bank and they always work at a snails pace. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1460Jun 13, 2015 8:20 am Tina and Zook, that is so annoying for you both. The private certifier for mine was supposed to come on the Wednesday before handover but he actually turned up while Ralph and I were dong the handover. I was lucky because I didn't need it to get the keys, he was going to mail it to me but as yet I still have not received it and it has been a week now. Make sure you get it the day they actually come out otherwise you will have to wait even longer to get the keys. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74719 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
