How long usually this process take? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1369May 29, 2015 9:15 am BlessingStar My documents submitted to certifier (CDC) at the end of April. How long usually this process take? It might be that your plans were not as per CDC requirements. In that case, they go to Council approval. (That's what I was told earlier). Mine took almost 4 weeks to get approval with CDC. Call Council and follow up on when it will be approved. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1370May 29, 2015 9:17 am jetizo We have an appointment to sign contracts tomorrow, is this appointment fairly straightforward or is there anything I should know/do/ask? Thanks in advance, Jess Contract is standard document. It has your council/CDC plans with variations. These are the ones you have been working with the sales office for months earlier. So there will be no surprises unless they have changed it. Make sure the final amount matches and all of your variations are entered in it. I rang Allworth and let them know that Council didn't received my documents, but Allworth said they have sent everything and wait until get approve. I don't know how long I have to wait and why Council doesn't have my documents. Unfortunately at this stage you cannot do anything other than waiting. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1373May 29, 2015 11:35 am Tin28a Make sure the plans are 100% correct. And get them straight to your bank after to get the letter to commence organised. Does anyone know approx. how much time it takes after you send bank your contract for the letter of commencement? Its been 2 weeks for my lender and I am waiting. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1375May 29, 2015 6:03 pm Tin28a Mine took about 3 weeks i think. Depends on your bank and how busy they are. Thanks. I got the final approval today after I sent the contract to my lender 2 weeks back. They have mailed me loan documents today But I think Allworth needs letter of commencement which I will get after signing these and sending it back. Looks like one more week Allworth told me that they are having a price increase in first week of June. I bave price lock till aug. But does that mean I will loose the credit due to increase? Should not they freeze the price after we signed the contract? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1377May 30, 2015 12:29 am Tin28a If you take to long getting the letter to commence they will give you a price increase. Yea, the lady told me that, but when I said I have price lock, she did not say anything. But I was not told earlier that price can change even after signing the contract. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 1378May 30, 2015 8:55 am My tender also will be expired this August (12 months). The sales person rang me yesterday to let me know there will be price increase / new price list June 2015.
