They lady at the office i am dealing with only replies to my emails when its something she wants. And doesnt seem to know how to answer a phone.... I would like to know how long it has taken once your plans are out of council before you go do the paperwork for construction to start? Did you got answer from head office about where is your plans now? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 404Jul 31, 2014 6:56 am They are still there at head office, waiting for a plumber to draw up the pipework because my council wants to know exactly where they are. Still dont know when its going back to council.. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 405Jul 31, 2014 7:07 am That's not s good news, are you in mine subsidence area? If so then again getting delay. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 407Jul 31, 2014 7:32 am I just saw your msg, once your DA approved allworth take another 2 to 3 weeks for construction certificate (PCCC), it means your tender will expired. But you can refuse to pay price rise, if the tender get expired Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 408Jul 31, 2014 7:46 am I will be refusing to pay it, ive already had to pay one because my bank was to slow to get there stuff organised. there systems have been down apparently for awhile so i will be saying that to them also. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 409Jul 31, 2014 8:01 am You have 150 or 180 days tender? Most people got expired unless holding registered land. I have only 5 days tender expired, still charged price rise. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 410Jul 31, 2014 8:05 am Oh no really? I got 180 days but we changed house designs from crescendo to winton but that's only one week wasted and they haven't started the survey or drawings yet. Hopefully we will be in time Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 411Jul 31, 2014 8:18 am I have 150days, asked 1000$ for price rise, finally charged 500$. But office person dealed with us very rude. If I refuse to pay, they won't touch my file until I agree to pay. At that stage I was in hurry, because I have a overseas schedule. So straightaway agree and sign a building contract. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 413Jul 31, 2014 2:47 pm Won't be going through Allworth, they will not build on our block, took contours and they said only if dead flat. We can cut the whole block if we like (council allows this) but they are not interested. Oh well, back to Clarendon who are very flexible. I have a slope too, allworth built my house. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 416Jul 31, 2014 5:13 pm We were about 1100mm cut and apparently we were close the cut off, he was saying within 50mm. That's a shame. The woman just said no no no. its funny, mine more than 2.5m slope on my block, cut and fill 1.6m. How much fall on your building area? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 418Jul 31, 2014 5:24 pm Hi Tin28a hope it gets to council quickly. We have had no problems with our customer service officer answering our emails. I have to go for our electrical appointment next week. Not happy that they don't do weekend appointments. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 419Jul 31, 2014 5:27 pm Minda good luck with your build. We have found Allworth say no to a lot of things. If we had of know earlier we would have went with another builder. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 420Jul 31, 2014 5:30 pm The building envelope is 2metres but she said they don't cut and fill and a no go. Every other builder will build on it so its not a drama. Was good to see the Wakefield in person as it wasn't what I thought it would be, didn't like the kitchen setup at all. They do have some lovely homes but wasn't meant to be. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes.
