We have someone coming out Saturday to quote on a bit of earthworks so we can level out the block and step the back yard, then we can sort out retaining walls, fence and lawns! I am still on early stage, my land will be registered on January 2015. I am looking for builder. I hope you can share your experience with me about Allworth. So far, do you have bad or good experience? Thanks in advance Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 363Jul 10, 2014 7:22 pm Blessingstar, we're the same we just paid our deposit, I have many friends who build with allworth & every single one of them are happy so they must be ok. They don't have the shiny brochures & promotions like other builders but you're paying for it anyway so it's good to start the basics & upgrade what you can afford. Structurally, they have good termite protection system, good selection of bricks, & insulation is good too. Don't be lured by those free aircon, free stone bench, because nothing is free. Good luck with your search Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 364Jul 10, 2014 7:30 pm Mel+rob, we drove round today trying to stick for the basic brick, thinking of pgh vanilla. Then we drove past to a house under construction, looks like boral blackheath, looks really really nice, how's the progress of your home? Have they started yet? We just paid our deposit, so we got time to look at brick colours. I think we're going to upgrade similar to yours. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 365Jul 10, 2014 8:00 pm Hello everyone, Is there a staged process for the building to start ? I paid deposit 6 weeks ago and still waiting for plans and survey results. Been handed over a bundle and asked to pick bricks and roof tiles but did not say how long I can take. Do we need to pick this for plans to go through council ? My land has been settled a month ago. Good luck with your search Thanks dcox, I am agree with you. The bank told me don't pay deposit or sign anything with builder. They said wait after the land is registered. How about you? Is your land registered? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 367Jul 15, 2014 5:17 pm Hi dcox, sorry the kids have been sick. We are still waiting on plans to go to council hopefully in the next few days. We went past a house built with the blackheath & loved the look. I really couldn't find any other bricks I really liked in the standard range. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 368Jul 15, 2014 5:25 pm Hi rajy13, we paid our deposit last October & price locked it for a year so I'm not sure about the stages. We had to pick all external colours for council plans. How is your progress going? Have you received any plans yet? Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 369Jul 15, 2014 6:09 pm Hi mel+rob, thanks for the update. No, I have it received any plans yet and it has been 7/8 weeks now. I have been asked to chose my bricks (PGH bricks) standard range only. I have asked if I can go to boral standard range but have been told there will be extra for that. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 371Jul 16, 2014 9:58 pm I emailed head office for an update today. Our plans are with the mines board for approval then they will be submitted to council. We will soon be contacted by P & N Rogers for our electrical selections. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 372Jul 16, 2014 10:37 pm apparently the mines doesn't take long within a week?, did they not do complying development? i thought they do that too and thats quicker. Hopefully you'll be watching your progress very soon. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 373Jul 17, 2014 12:08 pm We weren't told about complying development. I know once its in council it will take 4 weeks. Re: Who is building with Allworth Homes 374Jul 23, 2014 5:22 pm We have good news! Our plans were submitted to council today.
